I plan on spending time each day helping Charlie prepare for 4th grade. As we now know Charlie is Dyslexic. I know the lessons Charlie has to do in class will get much harder for him. Dyslexia
We had the school agree to test Charlie for Dyslexia, and I asked the school to also test Charlie for ADHD. The results have came in and Charlie does have Dyslexia. I sat a meeting up with the school Counselor, Principal and teachers to change the way they teach Charlie. Knowing Charlie is Dyslexic shows me why he struggles with reading. After our meeting at school I found out they didn’t do test for ADHD which was supposed to have been done at the same time. Stem Camp From Steve Spangler Science
I have been talking to David about sending Charlie to Summer Camp this year. Although, I am not sure I really want Charlie to be gone to a overnight camp for almost a full week. Though I know it would be good for Charlie and that he would have a lot of fun. Nor, am I sure Charlie is ready to be away from home a full week and not be able to come home to sleep.
