Homeschool Resource Puzzle Choice
It’s Wednesday, and time for Language Arts in our Homeschool Class. Our new Homeschool Resource is from Puzzle Choice. Charlie and I both enjoy putting together puzzles together and at times David enjoys Homeworking on the puzzles with me. 5th Grade Progress Note 1st Semester
I would like to share with you Charlie’s progress note from 5th Grade 1st Semester. There is 2 more weeks in this Semester and by seeing these grades I don’t have anything to worry about other than Language Arts. I sent his teacher a not this morning asking what Charlie can do to raise that grade. I was also upset there wasn’t a math grade as this is one of the classes Charlie struggles with the most. Homeschool Resource Skillswise
It’s Language Arts in our classroom and this morning I would like to share a new Homeschool Resource with you called SKILLWISE. The BBC website offers free interactive games that teach practical literacy skills. Recommended Website: Skillswise Age Range: 11-18 (Grades 5-12, with parental preview and supervision) Although designed for adults, students (about 11 and up) can use this resource as well. Instead of playing young “kiddie games” that are sometimes too elementary, slow-moving, or annoyingly “cutesy,” students can practice basic reading, writing, grammar and spelling with games that use more sophisticated vocabulary and topics (although some of the games are still very simple with young-ish animations).
