Diabetes is Leading Cause of New Blindness in Adults; Many Don’t Know They Have It
New York, NY, November 15, 2022— According to the 2022 National Diabetes Statistics Report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 11% of the U.S. population (approximately 37.3 million people) has diabetes. The study also found that 38% of adults 18 and older in the U.S., some 96 million people, have prediabetes.
