Meet Our Family: The Heart Behind Grateful Moments
I know I’ve taken the time to introduce my family in the past but as we move from The Mommies Reviews things have changed in my home so I wanted to take the time to welcome you to Grateful Moments, a place built around the moments that make life special and to introduce you to my family.
Every family has a story. Some stories are found in big celebrations, while others are found in the quiet moments that happen every day — sitting together at the kitchen table, sharing a favorite meal, laughing at something silly, welcoming a new pet into the family, or remembering the people who helped shape who we are. My family is the heart behind Grateful Moments.
This blog began because I wanted a place to celebrate the things that matter most: family, faith, memories, simple joys, helpful finds, recipes, traditions, and the everyday moments that are easy to overlook but become the memories we treasure. Through the support of Charlie, David and Renee Brown I was able to create a new site which I hope you will enjoy as much as I enjoy writing and sharing articles with you.
At the center of our family is my husband, David or Cave Man, Grumpy and even the Grinch which isn’t true David is one of the kindest most caring men I know. Through all of life’s changes, adventures, challenges, and blessings, he has been my partner through the journey. Our story includes ordinary days, unexpected detours, laughter, and the memories we continue to create together.
Our son, Charlie, who has more nicknames than I could share but that is what makes Charlie unique. Charlie is growing into his own person and beginning the next chapter of his life. Watching our children grow, learn, work, and discover who they are is one of the greatest gifts a parent can experience.
Then there is Gerald my brother who moved her from Oklahoma and still has a home there. He is blind and it is getting worse ever day. A diabetic that doesn’t take care of himself. A true momma’s boy and someone who couldn’t live on his own so it looks like we inherited Gerald which wouldn’t be bad if he would do something which I will share more of later on.
Our home is also filled with four-legged family members who bring their own personalities and love into our lives. Phoebe and Bear Bear have given us countless smiles and memories, and now Sandy Charlie’s new puppy which is a rescue has joined our family, reminding us that sometimes the best moments are the unexpected ones.
But family is more than the people and pets who live under one roof. Family includes the people we carry in our hearts, the memories passed down through generations, the traditions we continue, and the stories that deserve to be remembered. Including Suzzane because I wouldn’t be who I am without her.
At Grateful Moments, we believe life is made up of little blessings. A good meal. A favorite movie. A new recipe. A walk through a store looking for something special. A family conversation. A memory that makes us smile. We invite you to pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink, and spend some time with us.
