For me there is moments in life when I realized the simplest things were often the ones I remember the most. That is why some of my favorite memories have never been the biggest events or the most expensive experiences. They have been the quiet moments that happen when life slows down.
Sitting at the table sharing a meal. Drinking a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea while talking about the day with my friends and family. Laughing with David and Charlie over something silly. Watching a favorite show together. Taking a drive and discovering a new place. Those are the moments that become the stories we tell years later.
That is where the idea for Pull Up a Chair began. When we moved from our Trailer I was worried I wouldn’t have a place to work because I was leaving my office, my yard and even the Park at the end of the Street. The LORD knew my needs and instead of us getting the Apartment we applied for.
He got us into this Townhome which gave me a place for a garden. My own restroom a dinning room and living room that was perfect for a office. A balcony to sit on and read and a extra place to work. As well as my front porch and even a back porch I didn’t expect along with a bedroom that had enough room for a office. At times it feels like I have more space to work from than I did in our Trailer and I am grateful, thankful and blessed for this home the LORD gave us.
As I began the new site I wanted to create a place where people felt welcome. A place that felt less like walking into a website and more like walking onto a front porch where someone saved you a seat. A place where we could share stories, memories, recipes, encouragement, family moments, and the little blessings that sometimes get overlooked when life gets busy.
Please allow me to welcome you to Pull Up a Chair, a special part of Grateful Moments. When I started Grateful Moments, I knew I wanted it to be more than just a place for reviews, recipes, and recommendations. Those things are wonderful, and I love sharing them, but behind every product, every meal, and every idea is a story.
A recipe is not just ingredients written on a card. Sometimes it is the memory of who made it for us. Sometimes it reminds us of a holiday, a family gathering, or a person we miss. A movie is not just something we watch. Sometimes it becomes a family tradition, a way to relax after a long week, or something that brings everyone together.
A simple shopping trip is not just running errands. Sometimes it turns into finding an unexpected treasure, discovering a great deal, or creating a memory with someone we love. Those are the moments I want to celebrate not only with you but with my friends and family and Charlie and David.
I wanted to remind you life does not always go exactly as planned. We all experience seasons of joy and seasons that challenge us. We experience changes, new beginnings, and moments when we have to hold onto the things that matter most. Through all of those seasons, I have learned that gratitude can be found in the everyday.
It can be found in a conversation around the dinner table. It can be found in a pet greeting you when you walk through the door. It can be found in a phone call from someone you love, a favorite recipe, a good book, or even a quiet moment when you have time to reflect. Come and pull up a chair and share something you would like for us to know about you.

Throughout this series, we will talk about the things that make a house feel like home. We will share family stories, favorite recipes, simple ways to save money, books we enjoy, movies worth watching, faith and encouragement, seasonal traditions, and the everyday moments that make life special.
Some days we may sit together and talk about a memory from the past. Other days we may share something new we discovered. Sometimes we may talk about a recipe that brought everyone to the kitchen. Sometimes we may talk about the lessons life has taught us. Somedays we may share a video or photo with you because the sky’s the limit.
Because every person has a story. Every family has memories worth saving. Every home has moments worth celebrating.
