For my family there is something special about this time of year. The pumpkins are coming out, the leaves are changing, and everything around us seems to remind us to slow down and enjoy the season. While I’ve been working hard to get Greatful Moments back on track, I also want to make time for the little things that make life enjoyable and to leave time for the LORD who has created this amazing world for us. .
For those that didn’t know it this is one of the reasons I decided to start taking 30 minutes a day to read for our Reading Challenge. I have a beautiful little balcony outside my bedroom I can take a book outside, settle in, and enjoy a little quiet time. Sometimes we get so busy preparing for the next holiday that we forget to enjoy the season we are in right now and as much as I hate to admit it that is what my family was doing.
For this Harvest Gift Guide, I wanted to find books that bring a little of that harvest feeling into our reading time. Whether you enjoy a seasonal romance, a small-town festival, or a relaxing coloring book with rustic country scenes, there are different ways to celebrate the season. Here are a few harvest-themed books to explore, whether you’re looking for something for yourself or a little gift for a book-loving friend
There are so many books sharing a Harvest theme but there are the five Harvest Books I can’t wait to sit down and explore. If you’ve read any of these books leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of them and why. Or if you know of another book based on the Harvest Season leave me a comment so I can check it out.
1. Harvest Cruise by Rebecca Benson– If you’re looking for a book with harvest in the title, Harvest Cruise by Rebecca Benson is one to explore. A seasonal book can be a fun way to add something different to your reading list. If you enjoy discovering titles that fit the time of year, this is one to look up as you build your fall and harvest reading pile.
2. Harvest Rumors by Diane Loeffel– The title alone brings to mind the kind of small-town setting where everybody seems to know everybody else’s business. If you enjoy stories with a harvest theme, this is another book to investigate for your seasonal reading list.
3. Rustic Harvest Time: Adult Coloring Book with Rustic Harvest Settings, Adorable Forest Creatures, Pumpkin Patches, Vintage Trucks, Woodland Cabins, … (Rustic Landscape & Cozy Critters Collection)– Not everybody wants to spend their quiet time reading a novel. Sometimes you want to sit down with some colored pencils, put on your favorite music, and enjoy a creative activity. A rustic harvest coloring book is a fun alternative for adults who enjoy country scenes and seasonal artwork.
And this one caught my attention because of the beautiful truck on the cover! I can see this being a fun option for someone who loves rustic decorations, country living, or simply enjoys coloring as a way to relax after a busy day. Its also a nice way to spend time with those we love.
4. The Maplewood Harvest Festival: A Small-Town Cozy Romance Filled with Fall Festivals, Second Chances, and Heartwarming Moments (The Cozy Holiday Season Collection Book 1)– For readers who enjoy small-town romance is another title to explore. Fall festivals can bring together everything we love about the season: community celebrations, local traditions, and opportunities for unexpected friendships and romance. If you enjoy a cozy small-town atmosphere with a festival at the center of the story, this title may be worth checking out.
5. An Unlikely Harvest: A Cozy Fall Romance (Autumn in Havenwood Book 1) is another title to investigate while looking for harvest-themed reading. Sometimes the best way to discover a new favorite is to explore books outside your usual reading choices. If you’re building a seasonal reading list, this is another title to look up and see whether it fits your interests.
My goal this season is to stop letting my to-do list take over every minute of the day. I still have plenty to do on Greatful Moments, and I want to keep growing the website, but I also want to enjoy the life and the seasons the Lord has given me and to spend time with my family and friends which I’ve been neglecting.
Maybe that means taking a book outside for 30 minutes. Maybe it means spending an evening coloring a rustic harvest scene. Or maybe it means finding a cozy romance and enjoying a little time away from everything else. You don’t have to finish an entire book or complete a whole coloring page. Just find something you enjoy and give yourself permission to take a break.
Now, I have a question for you. Do you prefer harvest-themed novels, small-town romances, mysteries, or relaxing activities such as coloring books? I’d love to hear what you’re reading or creating this season. Share your favorite harvest books in the comments so we can discover more titles together.
Sometimes a little quiet time, a good book, and a grateful heart are just what we need. Happy reading, and may your harvest season be filled with blessings! Be following along as you will find these books inside our Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List and we will be sharing books for other Holidays as well.
