Finding out that today is National Quilting Day 2020 March 21, 2020 in the USA makes me miss my grandmother Dorie so much. She used to make Quilts for our family. I was blessed and had two of them. One was one I got when I graduated from High School. Unfortunately both of the quilts wore out and I don’t have them. I don’t even have pictures of them. What I do remember is sitting with my grandmother and cutting out squares and hand sewing a lap quilt for my grandfather who was in a Nursing Home. I wish I knew what happened to his quilt.
