DALLAS CHILDREN’S THEATER COLLABORATION SEEKS PLAYWRIGHT FOR NEW WORK BASED ON A POEM BY MAYA ANGELOU (Dallas, TX) Dallas Children’s Theater (DCT), Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Children’s Theatre of Madison and The Rose Theater in Omaha seek a playwright with meaningful experience working directly with youth to create a new work inspired by Life Doesn’t Frighten Me by Maya Angelou. We intend this new work to serve ages 4-8. We envision collecting and utilizing the stories and ideas of youth living in each of our Cities to inform a play with music.
