I don’t know about your family but for me personally homeschool math can feel intimidating fast, especially when every curriculum promises to be the perfect solution while somehow also requiring expensive supplies, complicated schedules, and a teaching degree most parents do not have. A lot of families are not looking for perfection. They are simply trying to make math work in real life without daily frustration.
