Foremost among the recent acquisitions is an enchanting portrait by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta, which depicts the 10-year-old son of the German ambassador to Spain in 1890, Baron Ferdinand Eduard von Stumm. The portrait remained in the von Stumm family from the time of its creation until its acquisition by the Meadows.
