There are traditions or events that have been around all of our lives. For me that is the Fort Worth Stock Show which happens at the end of December beginning of January and the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Fort Worth, Texas. As a child I remember my dad rushing home from work on the Friday after Thanksgiving getting everyone together including my grandparents. We would climb aboard the City Bus the T and head into Downtown Fort Worth. We would stop at Leonard’s Department Store and head down to the basement to look at all of the Toys and watch the Train. Winter Wonderland Christmas in Historic Grapevine, Texas.
One year when Suzzane was still here before I was married to David Suzzane wanted to spend the weekend with her big sister Stevie from Big Brothers & Big Sisters. So I said that she could, and they decided to watch the Christmas Parade in Grapevine, Texas which is one memory I will never forget as I was able to go with them and it was so much fun.
