The national award recognizes a local Virginia student for outstanding effort to honor veterans and their families. COLUMBIA FALLS, Maine, and HAMPTON, Va. – July 21, 2025 – Yesterday, national nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) recognized 15-year-old Cadence Smeltzer of Hampton, Virginia, as the eighth recipient of the organization’s annual LEARN Award.
