Not only that C/J/ Walker was one of the first American women to become a self-made millionaire. She created these products after losing her own hair to a Scalp Ailment that caused her to go bald. After creating the products she traveled around the giving lecture-demonstrations. Madame C.J. Walker created Laboratories to manufacture cosmetics and train sales beauticians.
