When I started putting together my Back-to-School Gift Guide for Girls, I wanted to look beyond the usual school supplies and fun gifts. I wanted to think about the things that help girls feel confident, comfortable, and prepared as they grow. That is what led me to Natracare.
While exploring their products, I realized these items could become more than just personal care products. They could become part of a thoughtful care basket designed to encourage girls during an important season of life. As girls move into middle school and high school, they begin experiencing many changes.
Those changes are completely normal, but they can also bring questions, uncertainty, and sometimes embarrassment. I believe these conversations should be handled with kindness and encouragement. Growing up is part of life, and every girl deserves to feel prepared and supported.
That is why I love the idea of creating a Back-to-School Care Basket for Girls. A care basket is not about pointing out differences. It is about saying, “You are cared for. You are prepared. You have people cheering you on.” The Natracare products I received inspired me to think about how these items could bless others.
Since these are products I personally do not need, I wanted to find a way for them to serve a greater purpose. Instead of sitting unused, they can become part of a basket that could be donated to a student, school resource room, community program, or another organization helping families.
A Natracare-inspired care basket could include items like:
- Natracare Ultra Pads
- Natracare Organic Cotton Tampons
- Natracare Safe to Flush Moist Tissue
- Natracare Intimate Wipes
- Natracare Makeup Removal Wipes
- deodorant
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- hair accessories
- lotion or lip balm
- an encouraging note
One of my favorite parts of this idea is that kindness does not have to be complicated. A basket can be created with a few carefully chosen items. It can be a larger gift or a simple collection of necessities. What matters most is the thought behind Basket and who it goes to.
There are many places these baskets may be able to help:
- schools with student resource rooms
- school nurses or counselors
- churches
- blessing boxes
- food banks
- community outreach programs
There is one thing I wanted to remind you before donating there types or products, always check with the organization to see what items they accept and what their current needs are. I also love that this idea gives families a way to talk about these topics with compassion. Instead of making growing up something uncomfortable, we can remind girls that their changing bodies are part of being human.
Every girl deserves to walk into school feeling confident. Not because she has everything perfect, but because she knows she is supported. A simple care basket can be a small reminder that someone cares. And sometimes the smallest blessings are the ones people remember the most.
