One of the things I love about everyday life is finding learning opportunities in the things we already enjoy. Sometimes a simple moment around the kitchen table can become a chance to explore a new topic, discover another culture, and learn something together.
Coffee is a wonderful example of how an everyday item can connect us to the world. When Charlie, David and I were #Homeschooling we studied the things Charlie was interested in or liked. Since both Charlie and David liked Coffee we studied it and visited local Coffee Shops for a #FieldTrip as we compared Coffee’s from different shops.

Even families who do not homeschool can enjoy this idea. A family coffee tasting night can become a fun way to spend time together while learning something new. You don’t even have to leave home pick up different varities of coffee and make them at home. Then rate each Coffee.
In our home, coffee and tea have always been connected to moments together. They are part of conversations, quiet mornings, and simple memories. Adding a learning experience makes those moments even more meaningful and it something Charlie always enjoyed and even David didn’t mind taking part in these lessons.
