Movies are not only a big part of my life they are David as well. This morning when I found out Doctor Who: The Satan Pit Extended Cut Returns to Cinemas this November I thought of David because I know he has watcched these movies in the past. We could go for my Birthday even though I’m not a fan of #DoctorWho. Are you?
If so then here is something to add to your entertainment calendar! BBC Studios, CinemaLive, and Fathom Entertainment are bringing Doctor Who: The Satan Pit Extended Cut back to select cinemas on Saturday, November 28, 2026, following sold-out screenings.
For fans who have enjoyed watching the Doctor’s adventures on television, this special cinema event offers an opportunity to experience one of the show’s memorable stories on the big screen. The extended cut brings together the two episodes The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit as one feature-length presentation.
David Tennant stars as the Tenth Doctor, alongside Billie Piper as Rose Tyler. Their adventure takes them to Sanctuary Base 6, a remote outpost on a planet orbiting a black hole. When the crew discovers something ancient beneath the planet’s surface, the Doctor and Rose find themselves facing the terrifying Ood and a mysterious evil known as the Beast. The cinema presentation includes restored deleted scenes, extended footage, and an exclusive interview with director James Strong, giving fans additional material to enjoy.
The encore screenings are scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2026, in participating cinemas across the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Cineworld will also host special evening 4DX screenings at its 34 UK cinemas on Monday, November 23, and Saturday, November 28. Ticket availability and participating locations vary, so fans should check the official event listing for details.
