AMC FearFest 2026: The Halloween Hangover — One More Day of Movies!

We made it through #Halloween buttercup, and now its time for me to celebrate the Holidays I enjoy but before I do I wanted to let you know even though Halloween is over it doesn’t mean the television has to stop showing Halloween movies! AMC has one more day of programming planned for Sunday, November 1, 2026, and they’re calling it the Halloween Hangover.

Throughout the month my family and I’ve been talking about Halloween movie festivals and all the movies that are being shown throughout October. Now we’re getting one last lineup from AMC FearFest before we put Halloween behind us and start thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank the LORD I made it through Halloween and I’m still standing and yes, David still has his hand.

Now, let me tell you something right up front. I probably won’t be watching most of these movies. You know me by now! I’m not the person who wants to sit around watching scary movies all day. But that doesn’t mean I can’t share the schedule with you, and who knows? I might find one that interests me.

David and Charlie have asked me to watch movies with them in our movie house at home before. Even when something isn’t my kind of movie, sometimes I sit down and watch it with them because spending time together is part of the fun. So let’s look at what AMC has planned for this final day of FearFest.

Sunday, November 1: AMC’s Halloween Hangover– AMC has seven movies scheduled throughout the day. Here is the lineup in the order listed in its official schedule. Schedule times below are reproduced from AMC’s published listing. Check your local listings for the applicable time zone and any changes.

6:00 a.m. — Christine– We’ll start the morning with Christine.

I’ll be honest with you: this is one movie I definitely wouldn’t choose to watch. It’s not the kind of movie I’d put on when I’m getting comfortable with a cup of tea and settling in for the day. But I do like the name. How about you? If David or Charlie wanted to watch it, they could enjoy it, but I would probably find something else to do!

8:00 a.m. — Halloween (1978)– Next up is the original Halloween from 1978.

AMC is bringing viewers back to one of the best-known titles in the Halloween horror-movie lineup. If you’re a fan of the franchise, this is another opportunity to watch the movie that started it all. But if you don’t mind I will pass on this movie and Pheobie said she would to. I’ll leave this one to the horror fans. I can enjoy Halloween decorations, pumpkins, friendly ghosts, and all the fun that comes with the season without needing to watch a scary movie first thing in the morning! Or ever.

10:00 a.m. — The Terminator– Now here’s another title on the schedule: The Terminator.

AMC is moving from its Halloween movie lineup into science fiction and action. I know this is a well-known movie, but I’m not going to promise you that I’ll be sitting down to watch it but doesn’t it have Arnold Schwarzenegger in it? If I’m right I may need to watch this movie which I think I’ve seen before.

I’ll leave that decision open. Sometimes a movie sounds interesting enough to give it a try, and other times I know I’m perfectly happy doing something else while David and Charlie enjoy their picks. But man oh, man it may have someone in it that makes my heart beat a tad bit faster and not because I’m scared. Just don’t tell David.

12:30 p.m. — Predator– At lunchtime, AMC has Predator scheduled.

This is another action and science-fiction title for viewers who enjoy that kind of movie. I know some people look forward to these films, especially when they can spend a day watching their favorites back-to-back. I’m still not making any promises about watching this one. You know me: I have to decide whether a movie sounds like something I can handle before I settle into my chair! But it is a move I know David has seen.

3:00 p.m. — Men in Black– Next comes Men in Black.

We’re continuing with science fiction, but this time with a movie about a secret organization dealing with extraterrestrial activity on Earth. Not only has David and Charlie watched Men in Black so did Suzzane and my nephew David and they loved this movie and watched it over and over.

I believe I will take afternoon off and watch this movie. Would you want to join me in memory of Suzzane and just to see Will Smith who my families loves from other moves he has been in. How about you? I don’t know about you but I can see why someone might choose this movie when looking for something different from the traditional Halloween horror lineup..

5:00 p.m. — Men in Black II– AMC follows the first movie with Men in Black II at 5:00 p.m.

If were watching the first film, then we need to finish our movie afternoon with the sequel. I always like seeing a schedule that lets fans follow one movie with another instead of having to hunt around for the next installment. How about you? I can imagine movie fans making themselves comfortable, grabbing their favorite snacks, and enjoying the double feature.

And speaking of snacks, you know how things work in our house. If you come over for a movie, you might want to bring your own! I can’t guarantee that Charlie and I will share everything we have. Before you ask about David I can tell you he isn’t going to share either.

7:00 p.m. — Jurassic World: Dominion

Now we’ve reached the movie that makes me stop and think about whether I might join in: Jurassic World: Dominion. Depending on how scary it is, I might watch it—or I might decide to pass. I’ve watched movies with David and Charlie in the past that weren’t necessarily my first choice. They’ve asked me to join them in our movie house, and sometimes I’ve said yes because it’s something we can do together.

But dinosaurs, action, and frightening scenes can make a difference in whether I want to keep watching. So I’m leaving this one as a maybe! I won’t pretend I’ve watched Jurassic World: Dominion or tell you what I think of the entire movie when I haven’t. I would rather be honest with you and let you know that this is one title on the schedule I might consider, depending on what I find out about it. If you’ve watched it, I’d love to know what you thought. Is it something you would recommend to someone who doesn’t necessarily enjoy scary movies? Let me know!

And there you have it: AMC’s Halloween Hangover schedule for November 1, 2026. The day starts with Christine and Halloween, moves into The Terminator and Predator, and finishes with Men in Black, Men in Black II, and Jurassic World: Dominion. That is how I like to celebrate Halloween. What about you?

There may be a movie here for you, even if there isn’t one for me. That’s one of the things I enjoy about sharing these schedules. We all have different tastes, and a movie that one person happily watches for the tenth time might be something another person skips altogether.

For me, the best part of movie night isn’t always the movie itself. Sometimes it’s sitting with David and Charlie in our movie house, spending time together, and letting them introduce me to something they enjoy. I may not love every movie they pick, but I can appreciate the time we spend together.

And if I decide that a movie is too scary, there’s nothing wrong with choosing something else! So tell me: Which movie from AMC’s November 1 lineup would you watch? Would you choose Men in Black, give Jurassic World: Dominion a try, or skip the movies altogether? I’d love to hear what you think. Source: AMC’s Official FearFest 2026 Schedule
