Thread Cotton Candy Daily Hydration: A Sweet Surprise for Young Athletes

Could cotton candy be the flavor that gets young athletes excited about drinking more water?

As a mom, I’m always looking for little ways to encourage my family to make healthier choices. One of those things is drinking enough water. And if you’ve ever tried getting a teenager to drink more water, you probably understand why I’m always looking for a little extra encouragement!

Not only that I must admit I’m horrible at drinking water as well while David drinks it all day long at work so he doesn’t think he needs water when he gets home or on his days off and we all know that isn’t right. That’s one reason Thread Performance Daily Hydration caught my attention.

This time, we’re looking at something a little sweeter: Cotton Candy Daily Hydration. With Charlie and Bradley both working out, I thought this would be a fun addition to Charlie’s Christmas stocking and there is enough to give Bradley a package or two to try as well. After all, what teenager wouldn’t at least be curious about a hydration drink mix that comes in cotton candy flavor?

Thread describes its Daily Hydration formula as being specifically created for developing athletes which is what Charlie and Bradley are. Along with several of Charlie’s friends. One of the features I like is how the company focuses on clean electrolytes, zero sugar, and nutritional ingredients intended to support hydration for young athletes.

Here are some of the product details that caught my attention:

  • 1,540 mg total electrolytes per serving
  • 431 mg vitamin C
  • Vitamins B6 and B12
  • Potassium
  • Aquamin and ConcenTrace marine minerals
  • Coconut water powder
  • Katemfe fruit for natural sweetness
  • Zero calories
  • Zero sugar

The package contains 15 individual sticks, making it convenient to keep some on hand for workouts, practices, or busy days. I especially like seeing vitamin C included. It’s one of those vitamins I pay attention to when looking at products for my family. The B12 and B6 caught my attention, too.

And there’s another ingredient that created a #teachingmoment for my family: Katemfe fruit. I hadn’t heard of it before discovering Thread, so researching the ingredients has been an interesting experience! Which could have been a #Homeschool resource in our PE when Charlie was still in school.

One of the things I appreciate about the directions is how simple they are.

  1. Tear open an individual packet.
  2. Mix it with 16 ounces of water.
  3. Shake and enjoy.

Sixteen ounces is particularly interesting to me because that’s the equivalent of two of my eight-ounce water bottles in one serving. I’m not always the best about drinking enough water, and Charlie could use some encouragement in that department, too. Having something convenient to mix into water might make it easier to build a better daily routine.

Of course, everyone’s hydration needs are different, and this isn’t a replacement for drinking enough plain water throughout the day. Here’s where I think Charlie and Bradley might get excited. Thread has created a Cotton candy flavor! I bet you even David will want to try it.

If you know anything about teenagers, you know that sometimes getting them interested in something starts with making it sound fun. I can already imagine Charlie being much more interested in trying a cotton candy-flavored drink than some of the other flavors we’ve discussed.

Bradley might be interested, too. And me? Honestly, if I received this product for myself, cotton candy probably wouldn’t be my first choice. I’m not going to pretend otherwise! But that doesn’t mean I can’t see the appeal for someone else in my family even though I may not try it. .

Instead of opening the packets and trying them before Christmas, I’m saving this one for Charlie’s stocking. That means we’ll have to wait until Christmas to find out what he thinks about the cotton candy flavor because this is going to be one Gift Charlie wouldn’t think about receiving.

I like the idea of introducing young athletes to products that encourage them to pay attention to hydration and their everyday routines. However, parents should always read the ingredients and nutritional information and decide whether a supplement is appropriate for their child.

Thread markets Daily Hydration toward developing athletes, and I appreciate that focus on young people who are active in sports and other physical activities. Santa, if you’re making your list and checking it twice, don’t forget the young athletes! Or someone who works at or owns a gym.

If you know boys and girls ages 10 and up who are working out, playing sports, or developing their athletic skills, you might want to consider packing some Thread Daily Hydration into your sleigh. And don’t stop with Cotton Candy! The variety packs offer additional flavors for families to explore.

I always encourage parents to be involved when introducing children to new nutritional products. Read the labels, understand what’s inside, and make the decision that’s right for your family. For now, Cotton Candy Daily Hydration is tucked away for Charlie’s Christmas stocking. I have a feeling this might be one stocking surprise he’ll be curious to try!

Sometimes getting our families to build better habits starts with finding something that makes them smile.

Disclosure: Greatful Moments received Thread Cotton Candy Daily Hydration for consideration in this feature. Opinions are our own. We have not conducted a taste test, and Charlie’s reaction will have to wait until Christmas.

Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.
