When gifts come into our home that are supposed be for Christmas more times than not Charlie thinks there fair game if I don’t get them put up before he sees them. This is what happened with Keababies Play Pals Hooded Towel. Instead of arguging with Charlie I decided to just let him have the towel to use because as a parent its easier at times.
This is why I wanted to share this company with you because there is so much more to discover than the towels I originally received. There is gifts for all stages of the babies life and even items for mom featuring different maternity gifts and yes, I even saw things a new day would like.
I received KeaBabies Play Pals Baby Hooded Towel in exchange for an honest review, and while I originally had someone very special in mind for this little towel, our family had other plans! Before I tell you about Bear Bear’s unexpected bath-time adventure, let me introduce you to Kea Babies.

Some of the products you’ll find include:

- Baby washcloths

They also have maternity and postpartum products, including pregnancy belts, postpartum belts, nursing pads, breast pumps, and accessories. I especially like seeing a company offer products that go beyond those first few weeks with a newborn. Parents need things for every stage, and having a place where you can browse different categories makes shopping a little easier.
Now let’s talk about the product that introduced me to this company. My Kea Babies Play Pals Baby Hooded Towel arrived in a simple brown box with the Kea Babies name and a little bird logo at the top. It was a single towel in a pretty creamish-yellow color perfect for boys and girls.
The packaging includes a safety warning about keeping the plastic bag away from babies and children and not using it in cribs, beds, carriages, or playpens. The bag is not a toy, so be sure to dispose of it properly. That includes keeping it away from the dogs which is hard to do in my home.
When I opened the box, I found the towel and a sweet message: Whimsy and wonder in every bath. I liked that message a lot. because the message talks about making bath time more enjoyable with a soft, absorbent hooded towel that combines comfort with the magic of play and the companionship of Play Pals.
There is also a sweet little heart from the KeaBabies team and you know how I love #hearts. I love little touches like that because they make opening a package feel a little more special. The packaging also mentions that the towel is suitable for delicate and sensitive skin and includes the sizing information.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the convenient hanging tab on the back. You might wonder why something so small would make me happy, but let me explain. In my house, towels have a habit of ending up on the floor instead of being put on a cabinet or hung up where they belong because the boys always knock my hooks off the wall. Having a convenient way to hang this towel is something I appreciate.
When I received this hooded towel, I immediately thought about Christmas and my stepdaughter Leslie’s new baby. I had visions of wrapping this adorable little hooded towel up and putting it under the Christmas tree. After all, who doesn’t love a soft hooded towel for a new baby?
I even found myself wishing I had something like this when Charlie and Suzzane were little! But apparently, Charlie had other plans. He discovered the hooded towel and decided that Bear Bear ie his dog needed a little pampering after his bath. And honestly, the size was just right for Bear Bear!
I couldn’t help laughing because here I was saving a baby gift for Christmas, and Charlie had already found a completely different recipient. He was even kind enough to use it on Phoebe, too! Now, I know this hooded towel was created for babies, but you know what? Dogs deserve to be pampered, too!
They need baths every once in a while, and there is nothing wrong with making sure our four-legged family members are comfortable afterward. So, I guess Santa will have to bring another one when I’m loading up the sleigh for Leslie’s baby. And perhaps I should ask for one for myself, too!
Now, here’s something funny. Charlie actually opened the box and got the hooded towel out, but between him discovering that Bear Bear needed a new bath towel and our little doggy spa adventure, I never really got a chance to see which Play Pals character was on the hood!
I know there are different characters and designs available, but I honestly couldn’t tell you which one we received. So, I’m leaving that little mystery for another day. When I get a chance to take a closer look, I’ll share which character made its way into our home. Sometimes even a product review needs a little mystery, don’t you think?
One thing I enjoy about discovering new products is thinking outside the box. Yes, the KeaBabies Play Pals Baby Hooded Towel was created with babies in mind. But after seeing how we have already put ours to use, I started thinking about other possibilities. For instance, a smaller, soft towel like this could make a handy addition to your bathroom.
If you wear makeup, you might find it useful for washing your face or removing makeup as part of your regular cleansing routine. You could also keep one nearby for washing and drying your hands. And if you have pets, well, Charlie, Bear Bear, and Phoebe have already demonstrated another possibility!
Of course, I would recommend keeping separate towels for babies, pets, and personal care. But isn’t it fun when something designed for one purpose turns out to have other possibilities? Since Christmas is right around the corner, I couldn’t help noticing all the gift possibilities on the KeaBabies website.
The baby hairbrush caught my attention because I think it would make an adorable stocking stuffer for a new parent. The baby memory books and keepsake kits would also make thoughtful gifts. And those Christmas baby ornaments? What a sweet way to celebrate a baby’s first Christmas!
If you’re shopping for a new mom, an expecting parent, or a family welcoming a little one, KeaBabies is a website worth exploring. And depending on what you’re shopping for, you may even find a few gifts that would work for dads, too! Or pets if your Charlie.
One thing I appreciated while exploring the website was discovering how much information KeaBabies makes available.

- The KeaBabies story
- Frequently asked questions

Now, the question is would I recommend checking out KeaBabies? Absolutely! I originally started with PlayPals hooded baby towel, but I ended up discovering a company with products for expecting mothers, new parents, babies, toddlers, and families would enjoy.
Whether you’re shopping for a baby shower, a new arrival, a stocking stuffer, or a baby’s first Christmas, Kea Babies has plenty of possibilities worth exploring. And when Santa starts loading up the sleigh this year, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be reminding him about this unique company! Which is why you will find it inside our Christmas Gift guide/ Wish List.
I still want to get another hooded towel for Leslie’s new baby because that was my original plan. After seeing how useful ours has been, I might even ask Santa for one for myself. Thank you to KeaBabies for providing the hooded towel for my honest review. Our family certainly found an unexpected way to enjoy it!
Now I want to hear from you! Have you ever purchased something for one purpose only to discover your family found a completely different use for it? And be honest: Do your towels end up on the floor instead of hanging where they’re supposed to? I’d love to hear your stories! Until next time, remember to be Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed!
Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.
