Man, on man Halloween is almost over and Christmas is coming but we shouldn’t forget #Thanksgiving. I would like to invite you to join me in the evenings as we watch one movie a night about Thanksgiving because it’s one holiday at a time in my home. Are you like that as well?
Now if you will excuse me in a few minutes Thanksgiving is almost here, and I need to find my decorations before I forget. Before I go I wanted to let you know I have a little something planned for families who love gathering around the television, grabbing a bowl of popcorn, and watching a good movie together.
“Starting November 1st, Greatful Moments is kicking off 27 Days, 27 Family Nights: Movies, Classic Sitcoms & Thanksgiving Specials—a fun way for families to enjoy a little holiday entertainment together every day leading up to Thanksgiving!” Come share your favorite show or movie with us featuring Thanksgiving to add to our list.
From animated favorites and family comedies to classic Thanksgiving stories and movies that remind us what gratitude, family, and togetherness are all about, we’re going to help you find something worth watching. And we’re not just going to give you a movie title and send you on your way!
Each day we’ll share a featured movie, tell you a little about the story, let you know who might enjoy watching it, and help you find where it’s available? If your like me you might not know where to find these movies at so I will be sharing where we find them at. Because You might be surprised by how many places you can look!
We’ll be checking Hallmark, Hallmark+, UPtv, UP Faith & Family, Lifetime, Paramount+, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV, and other streaming services. We’ll also look for movies available to rent or purchase through digital movie stores. And because I know not everybody wants another monthly subscription, we’ll be looking for free movie options, too!
We’ll share viewing information whenever possible so you can decide what works for your family and your budget. Because if were not careful we could go broke with all the Streaming Services we can sign up for. Which I refuse to do. How about you? What is your favorite movie channel to watch and why?
There is one movie we absolutely couldn’t leave off our list it is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang have been part of family holiday traditions for generations. I’m doing a #HappyDance because Apple has announced a special free viewing weekend for November 14 and 15, 2026, so mark your calendars!
And we’re saving this beloved Thanksgiving special for our November 27 grand finale, with its own special feature. Whether you’re watching with little ones, teenagers, grandparents, or just enjoying a quiet evening at home, we hope you’ll find a new favorite or rediscover an old one.
So grab your favorite blanket, make some popcorn, pour yourself something to drink, and join us every day! Because sometimes the best family memories aren’t made by going somewhere or spending a lot of money. Sometimes they’re made right at home, with a good movie and the people we love.
Follow Greatful Moments and come back November 1 for Day 1 of our 27 Days of Thanksgiving Movies!
27 Days, 27 Family Nights
