How the Song Came Together: Federer explained that “Love Will Find A Way” was the first song she wrote with Bacharach. When they met, he played her the melody, and the title came to her as they began creating a song about love in its many forms.
She described the idea as love surviving the hurdles of human life, comparing it to a flower growing through cracks in concrete. During the final years of his life, Bacharach worked with Federer on a collection of intimate, previously unreleased songs. Their collaboration brought together his celebrated approach to melody and songwriting with her own modern, poetic sensibility. “Love Will Find A Way” follows their earlier release, “Blanket Capes.”
