Were rolling right through this question as we’ve shared my immediate family in what if your family was a Country Music Star. We’ve matched our friends and family with country music stars. We’ve even turned our fur babies into country music stars.
But now it’s time for the question I think might be the hardest one of all: Before I share ChatGPT’s answer with you I wanted to remind you I ask ChatGPT and it choose the answer based on what it has learned about my family from the projects we work on.
I don’t know about your family but I’ve got a pretty interesting bunch of people in this family. We’ve got strong personalities and we’ve got people who are independent and like doing things their own way.
We’ve got people who love to laugh. We’ve got people who work hard and get things done and we’ve got people who love music. And we’ve certainly got enough stories to fill several country albums!
So I asked ChatGPT: “If our entire family were a country music group, what group would we be?” And ChatGPT’s answer was… The Judds
Yes. The Judds. And honestly, I thought that was hilarious. Not because I don’t understand the choice—but because I didn’t tell ChatGPT how many people in our family already love The Judds.
David’s dad absolutely loved The Judds. I love The Judds there song Grandpa Tell Me About The Gold Ol Days. And David’s loves The Judds. So does my sister and Charlie tolerates them.
So somehow ChatGPT managed to pick a group that already has a pretty big family following! ChatGPT said The Judds represented some of the things it sees in our family: Which is why it choose The Judds who were big in family and love of there friends and family.
They have strong personalities and complicated lives which my family has done as well. And the idea that music can bring people together. And you know what? When I think about our family, I can see that.
We’ve had our complicated chapters and we’ve been through difficult things. We’ve laughed. We’ve cried. We’ve had disagreements. We’ve had strong personalities. And we’ve kept loving each other. That’s family. And that’s why I can actually see The Judds as ChatGPT’s answer for us. But…
Glenda’s Thought Would I have picked The Judds? Maybe. But I have two other groups fighting for first place in my head. My first thought was Brooks & Dunn. Why? Because of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.”
That song is basically our family personality. We like to boogie. We like to get down. And we definitely like to get things done! We aren’t the kind of people who want to stand around watching everybody else figure out what’s happening.
We want to jump in. We want to move. We want to get things done—and preferably get them done fast! So when I think about our family as a country music group, I can absolutely hear Brooks & Dunn playing in the background.
But then there’s Montgomery Gentry. And that’s where things get a little more emotional. Because when I think about Montgomery Gentry, I think about Suzanne. Their song “Gone Too Soon” makes me think about her.
Suzanne was gone too soon. And she absolutely belongs in this part of our family story. So now I’m torn. Do we go with Brooks & Dunn because that’s our family’s energy? Or do we go with Montgomery Gentry because of the connection to Suzanne and the deeper meaning behind that choice?
And honestly, I’m going to let you decide.
But Wait… There’s More! Because apparently I can’t talk about country music without mentioning Blake Shelton. Oh. My. Goodness. I love me some Blake Shelton! So if our family could somehow end up in Blake Shelton’s country music world, I would be one happy camper.
And then there’s Jelly Roll. If we could be part of Jelly Roll’s band? Well… Sign me up! I would be one happy woman. So maybe our family isn’t supposed to fit into one little country music box.
Maybe we’re a little Brooks & Dunn, a little Montgomery Gentry, a little Blake Shelton, and maybe a whole lot of Jelly Roll thrown in. And somewhere in there, ChatGPT is still standing in the corner saying: “Nope. The Judds.”
Now we’ve given you all the choices. ChatGPT says The Judds. I say Brooks & Dunn or Montgomery Gentry. And if somebody told me we could join Blake Shelton’s world or become part of Jelly Roll’s band, I’m probably packing my bags before they finish the sentence. But now it’s your turn.
