Would you rather lose your sense of taste or your sense of smell? Why

For anyone who has had Covid-19 they did lose their sense of taste and that isn’t fun so I think I would l would rather lose my sense of smell although I would miss the smell of Flowers and Cookies baking in the oven.

Charlie also said he would rather lose his sense of taste because Charlie says he knows what his favorite foods taste like and wouldn’t need to have a sense of taste and funny enough David said the same thing. me what can I say?
