It’s Monday morning and it’s going to be a busy day for me Lord willing and the Creek don’t rise, But before the day gets to crazy I thought I would share one of my favorite post with you this morning where I ask ChatGpt a question and it chooses answers for my family.
What If I Was a Disney Character?: The Cates Family Edition I have a question for you what if, instead of simply watching Disney movies, we could step right into one? I’ve been having fun with our “What If I Was…?” series, and this time I started thinking about the people—and pets—who make up our family circle.
If each of us were a Disney character, who would we be? Not necessarily our favorite character. Not necessarily the character everyone would expect. Instead, I wanted to think about our personalities, the things that make us who we are, and the little qualities that make each person special. And some of these matches surprised even me.
Me – ChatGPT said I would be Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast because she’s warm, nurturing, family-centered, and always trying to make everyone feel at home. She’s also wise in a quiet way—the kind of wisdom that comes from having lived through things and learned from them.
That’s the part of Mrs. Potts I recognize in myself. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention. She just wants everyone to be okay. Now, if you were to ask me if I would have picked Mrs. Potts for me most likely I wouldn’t have not but that is what makes asking ChatGPT what they think is fun.
David — Carl Fredricksen– ChatGPT said from the movie Up. Because he’s steady, loyal, determined, and sometimes a little set in his ways. But underneath all of that is a tremendous heart and a deep devotion to the people he loves. Carl isn’t flashy. He simply loves deeply.
Before I tell you if I thought ChatGPT was right I would need to tell you I would have to watch the movie before I could answer because Up! isn’t a move I’ve watched all the way through. But what I can tell you from the description I was given that it does sound like David. What do you think?
Charlie — ChatGPT said Hiro Hamada from Big Hero 6. Because he’s intelligent, creative, technology-minded, independent, and always thinking about what he can build or create next. Charlie has that same creative energy. He’s someone who can look at something and think about how it works, how it could be better, or what he could create with it.
I agree with the description and Big Hero 6 is a movie Charlie and David have watched and Charlie does like it. As for me I’m not sure I’ve seen it so I will be watching it so I can see Hiro Hamada for myself.
Suzanne — Rapunzel from Tangled. Bright. Imaginative. Curious. Full of life. Rapunzel has a light about her, and Suzanne’s memory still brings light into our family ChatGPT said. Her life was far too short, but the love and memories she left behind continue to be part of our story.
I honestly didn’t know Tangled was about Rapuzel because I don’t think I’ve watched the movie but I bet David has. As for the description I believe its right.
Gerald — Baloo from The Jungle Book. He’s easygoing, protective, and has a way of bringing humor into the room. Baloo reminds us that sometimes you need to relax, laugh, and enjoy the people around you. ChatGPT said it could see Gerald there.
I agree with ChatGPTs description plus Jungle Book and Baloo was one of Suzzane’s favorite characters so ChatGPT’s choice makes sense.
Debbie — Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. She’s hardworking, determined, practical, and understands that dreams usually take effort. Tiana doesn’t wait for life to hand her everything. She works for what matters to her. That determination makes her a good match for Debbie.
Again Tiana isn’t a Disney movie I’ve watched but I do agree with ChatGPTs answer and it’s given me another movie to watch.
Renee — Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. She’s helpful, resourceful, and the person who can sometimes show up with exactly what someone needs. Sometimes the biggest difference in someone’s day is simply having another person willing to help. That’s the Fairy Godmother energy ChatGPt saw in Renee.
I agree with them and with Renee being one of my favorite people and Cinderella Suzzane’s favorite Princess it makes sense for them to pick the Fairy Godmother for her.
Sandy — Sandy is Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. I’m sorry, but this one is just too good ChatGPT said as they let us know why they choose it. Sandy is Stubborn? Yes. Noisy? Absolutely. Mischievous? Definitely. Determined to do things her own way? Without question. But underneath all of that is a dog who wants to belong, be loved, and be part of the family.
If you ask me that sounds like Sandy and ChatGPT nailed Sandy to a T she is Stitch.
Bear Bear — Dug from Up. Loving. Loyal. Excited. Affectionate. And probably easily distracted by whatever interesting thing happens to be nearby. Dug’s heart is bigger than anything else. That’s Bear Bear.
I agree with ChatGPT and it also gives me another reason to watch Up! Anyone up for a movie night or nights?
Gunner — be Pongo from 101 Dalmatians. Pongo is loyal, protective, dependable, and devoted to his family. He’s the kind of character whose heart is always connected to the people he loves. That’s what ChatGPPT said they see in Gunner.
As much as I love the movie 101 Dalmatians I do not remember Pongo so it looks like its time to re-ewatch this movie and be prepared I will be singing Diggy Diggy Dog.
Phoebe — a little bit of magic all her own Sometimes someone doesn’t need to fit perfectly into an obvious character. Phoebe has her own place in our family story. She’s part of the group, part of the memories, and part of what makes our family our family. Maybe that’s the most Disney thing of all. Because Disney has always reminded us that everyone has a place in the story.
I agree with ChatGPT and if I was asked to choose who Pheobie is I’m not sure I would have a answer.
If We Were All Disney Characters… Maybe that’s what I love about doing these “What If I Was…?” posts. We aren’t really trying to decide which character is the “best.” We’re looking for the little pieces of ourselves hiding inside stories we already know and love.
Some matches are funny. Some are surprising. Some are sentimental. And some make you stop and say, “Yep. That’s exactly right.” If the Cates family stepped into a Disney movie, I’m pretty sure we’d make one interesting cast. And knowing our family, we’d probably create a little chaos along the way, too. But that’s okay. Every good Disney story needs a little adventure.
