I wanted to share another cookbook David’s mom Sherry Cates gave Charlie to use in his Homeschool Cooking Class. The new cookbook is Taste of Home Ultimate Comfort Food 2018. Inside this cookbook is 175 Classic Dishes The Family Will Love. Or at least I think think your family would love.
Charlie and I opened the cookbook up and found a recipe for Brunch Cinnamon Rolls Charlie would like to make for us for Breakfast. Then for dinner I can’t wait to make So-Tender Swiss Steak which I know David would like. For Charlie I will have to cook his Steak separately because he doesn’t like Gravy at all ever. Being a TEXAN and not liking Gravy is crazy. But what can I say other than that is Charlie for you and I wouldn’t change him.
I liked in the back of the book is a guide for substitutions and equivalents which we can use not only with these recipes but in the future as Charlie prepares other meals. Here is one of the tips they shared with us: If you do not have Whole Milk you can use 1/2 cup Evaporated Milk and 1/2 cup water.
