As someone who is climbing downhill of 60 this year I’ve always used cream deodorants but they would break or melt and end up causing me to waste more of the products than I’ve ever used. Which is why I wanted to remind you the simplest things are the products we reach for every single day.
I’ve been trying different deodorants and antiperspirants lately, and one product I’ve found myself reaching for more often is Secret Powder Fresh 24-Hour Antiperspirant this is different than other products I’ve used in the past because it’s a aerosol spray like Right Guard my parents used back in the day.
This isn’t a fancy beauty product. It isn’t something sitting on a shelf just waiting for a special occasion. It’s an everyday product that does what I need it to do—and sometimes that’s exactly what makes a product worth talking about. I always purchase this Secret Powder Fresh aerosol at Walmart but I’ve seen it at other stores around Town.
I honestly don’t remember exactly what I paid for it, but when I fist began using it I wanted to try it because I had heard other people use it. I wouldn’t have to worry about wasting the deodorants I was using. Plus the can was nice looking in white and blue with the pretty flowers on it.
Since the powder sticks keep breaking when products are getting hot in our house, that doesn’t make things any easier. So I decided to go back to a aerosol spray because I had used other brand before and they worked and not only did my parents use this type of Deodorant my mother in law used to as well.
For me sometimes I just need something that works without fighting with the container. One of the things I really like about this Secret antiperspirant is the spray can itself. The nozzle is easy to push down, and the product sprays out in a straight stream. That might sound like a tiny detail, but I appreciate it. It goes where I want it to go instead of spraying all over the place.
I don’t have to fight with the nozzle, and I don’t have to worry about the product breaking the way my powder sticks have been doing. For an everyday product, convenience matters. Sometimes the best thing you can say about something is simply: It works the way I expect it to.
I chose the Powder Fresh scent because it has a nice, calming and soothing scent. It’s not one of those fragrances that I find overwhelming, which is something I appreciate in an everyday antiperspirant. Everyone’s sense of smell is different, of course, but Powder Fresh is a scent I enjoy using. I can’t wait to see if there are other scents to try as well.
There’s also an important difference between this product and the Secret Whole Body deodorant I recently reviewed. The Secret Whole Body spray is aluminum-free deodorant. It is designed to help with odor, but it isn’t an antiperspirant. Secret Powder Fresh, on the other hand, is a traditional 24-hour antiperspirant.
That’s worth pointing out because people shopping for these products may be looking for different things. Sometimes you want an aluminum-free deodorant. Other times, you want an antiperspirant. And sometimes you simply want the product you’ve used for years and know how to use.
While I was using this, I started thinking about our Christmas Gift Guide for Women. Would I put antiperspirant on a Christmas shopping list? Absolutely! Maybe not as the only present under the tree, but why not add useful everyday products to a stocking, gift basket or care package?
When you’re shopping on a budget, you want your money to go toward things people will actually use. And if you’re trying to buy several gifts for several people, practical items can help stretch that Christmas budget. Santa has to watch his budget, too. Especially when Santa is shopping for Mrs. Claus! because with all he has to do it isn’t always easy to make Gifts for her plus she might see the Gift so its easier to pick a Gift or two up for her while he’s delivering everyone’s presents.
Now I know your wondering if I would I Buy it again? Yes, I would and the biggest reason is simple: it’s easy to use. The nozzle is easy to press. The spray comes out in a controlled stream. It goes where I need it. The can doesn’t break like the powder sticks I’ve been using.
And I like the Powder Fresh scent. For me, those little things add up. I don’t need an everyday antiperspirant to be complicated. I want to pick it up, spray it, and get on with my day. Secret Powder Fresh does that for me. Which is a Godsend when your living on a budget and a time-limit in the morning’s when your getting dressed and trying to get out the door.
There are so many different deodorants and antiperspirants on store shelves that sometimes it’s easy to overlook the familiar brands. Secret is one of those brands I’ve known for years, which is one reason I wanted to give this one a try. I hope you will as well.
After using it, I can see why I keep reaching for the can. And now that I’ve been exploring Secret’s products more closely, I’m discovering that there are more options than I realized. Maybe that’s one of the best things about trying something new—you sometimes rediscover something familiar along the way.
