Righteous Butter Lotion: A Fun Retro Find from the Back of My Cabinet

Disclosure: I received this product as a gift. This post contains my honest opinions. As always, your experience may be different from mine.

As you know, over the past couple of months, I’ve been trying to clean and organize our home. I’ve started the Grace by Grace room-by-room challenge, and as I’ve been working my way through the house, I’ve found quite a few things that had gotten pushed to the back of cabinets and forgotten about.

One of those things was Righteous Butter Lotion. I believe it was part of a set that David and Charlie bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago which I belive came from Walgreens. Which I had completely forgotten about it until I came across it while I was cleaning and organizing.

I want to be upfront about the product it isn’t something I would use because I don’t take the time to put on lotion or even make-up most of the time. But this was such a fun retro design that would catch your eye from across the room that I’ m sure its why Charlie and David would have picked it out for me.

I thought it was cute enough with the retro design that takes me back to the 1950’s that I could see it making a fun Christmas gift, and after using it again, I decided that you might enjoy this product just as much as I did. That’s why you’ll find Righteous Butter Lotion in our Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List and I will be asking Santa when he loads the SLEIGH to make sure he has some for my sister and my best friend and also Mrs. Claus because with all the cold weather I bet her hands get chapped a lot.

The first thing I noticed when I used it was how easily it went on. The lotion goes on clear and rubs right into my skin, which I really like. It also doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. That’s a big plus for me because I don’t want to put lotion on my hands and then feel like I have to wait around before I can touch anything.

This one absorbs nicely and leaves my skin feeling moisturized without that heavy, greasy feeling. It also has a little bit of a scent. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what the fragrance reminds me of because, it has an almost old-fashioned scent. It’s not an overpowering fragrance, though, and there’s something about it that I find pleasant.

And then there’s the packaging. The retro look is what made me stop and think about this product as a gift again. Sometimes the presentation of a product is part of what makes it fun to give someone, and I think this one has that going for it. Plus, there are other products made by the brand which would make fun Gifts for the women on our Gift Giving List.

I think Righteous Butter Lotion would make a nice addition to a Christmas gift basket, stocking, or self-care gift. You could pair it with other bath and body items, a cozy robe or slippers, a candle, or even a gift card for someone who enjoys a little pampering. And because I rediscovered mine while doing my room-by-room organizing, it also became a good reminder that sometimes we already have something pretty nice tucked away in a cabinet—we just have to find it!

The next question you may be asking yourself is would I use it again? Yes. I like that it goes on easily, rubs in clear, and doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy. The light, slightly old-fashioned scent is also a nice touch. Most of all, I love that something I had forgotten about turned out to be a little treasure hiding in the back of my cabinet.

So if you’re looking for a fun bath and body gift this Christmas, keep Righteous Butter Lotion in mind. And if you’ve been doing a little organizing of your own, you might want to check the backs of those cabinets before you go shopping. You never know what you might find!

Have you ever found something you completely forgot you had while cleaning and organizing your home? I’d love to hear what you discovered! That is what makes Greatful Moments — Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed
