Remembering Toby Keith
I woke up to the new this morning that Toby Keith had passed away Monday evening. I remember when Suzzane first heard the song As Good As I Once Was somewhere it quickly became one of her favorite songs and Toby Keith became one of her favorite singers. On my bucket list was seeing him in concert for Suzzie.
The LORD had other plans and called Toby Keith home and I know there must be one helllava concert in Heaven with Jimmy Buffett and Toby Keith and all the other great singers who went before them. I bet you a 5 dollar bill to a on dollar bill that Suzzane is front row and center at any performances there putting on.
As I work this morning I have music playing in the background as Charlie finishes up school work and I work. The funny part is when I told Charlie about Toby’s passing he was kind enough to set me a playlist up on Spotify of Toby’s music and even added in a song by Jimmy Buffett. I am truly one lucky mama.
As today reminds us tomorrow isn’t promised so hug your loved ones a little tighter today and if there not close call them or text them and let the know you love them. Because one day it might be you missing a loved one like I am today with Suzzane and my mom and dad.
