Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we’re going to get there!
Well, friends, it’s Sunday again and the beginning of a new week which I am grateful, thankful and blessed for, and that means it’s time to sit down, look at our Swagbucks progress, and see how much closer we’re getting to our goal. Because somehow someway I am going to meet that goal with the LOTDs help.
Last week wasn’t perfect. Some days we earned more than our 100-point daily goal which was a Godsend, and other days we fell a little short and that was ok to. Life happens! Sometimes we have the energy to keep going, and sometimes we have to slow down and take things one step at a time.
But I kept placing it in the Lord’s hands and reminding myself of that little engine who thought he could. We just keep chugging along, doing what we can, and trusting that those little points will add up. And guess what? We exceeded our weekly goal of 700 SB! Thank you, LORD.
That extra cushion is a Godsend. It gives us a little breathing room going into another week. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to slow down. I’m still aiming for 100 SB every single day, God willing. Our tracking week runs from Sunday through Saturday, and our regular goal is 700 SB.
Through Thursday, our recorded daily earnings had already reached 813 SB, putting us 113 points above our weekly target. We also recorded another 90-point increase on Saturday. Some days we go above and beyond, and other days we do what we can. The important thing is that we’re continuing to work toward our goal instead of giving up when a day doesn’t go as planned.
Our Goal: 30,090 SB by December 15– As of Sunday, October 25, my Swagbucks balance is 25,365 SB.
My goal is to reach 30,090 SB by December 15, 2026. Why that number? Because the PayPal redemption options on the site show that 10,030 SB can be redeemed for $100. Three $100 rewards would give me $300 to use through PayPal for Christmas for David and Charlie.
Here’s where we stand:
- Current balance: 25,365 SB
- Our goal: 30,090 SB
- Points still needed: 4,725 SB
- Time remaining: 52 days, counting October 25 through December 15
- Average needed: Approximately 91 SB per day
My daily goal is 100 SB, so if I can keep that up, I’ll be earning a little more than the average needed to reach my target. If I earn 100 SB every day through December 15, I could add 5,200 points to my current balance and reach 30,565 SB. That would put me 475 points above my goal!
Of course, that assumes I keep earning those points consistently. Some days will be better than others, but now we know what we’re working toward. And any extra points we earn can help us build a cushion for the future. I’d love to head into 2027 with points already in my account and a new goal to work toward because next year I’m going for $400.
If you haven’t joined Swagbucks yet, I want you to know that it’s not just a survey site. There are several ways to earn points, depending on the offers available to you. You may be able to earn through eligible shopping offers, grocery purchases, receipts, games, daily polls, and other activities.
You don’t have to do everything. You can explore the opportunities and see what works for you. Just remember to read the requirements carefully. Some offers require a purchase, and others have specific steps you must complete before points are awarded. Don’t spend money you wouldn’t otherwise spend just to earn points.
I’m sharing my journey because I know there are other people who might like to earn a little extra, too. I can’t promise how much anyone else will earn, but I can share what I’m working toward and how I’m doing along the way. I’m not going to pretend that every day is perfect. Some days we earn more than we expected, and other days we do what we can and call it good. That’s life, isn’t it? I’m grateful, thankful and blessed that we exceeded our weekly goal, and I’m thankful for the breathing room those extra points give us.
Now it’s time to start another week, keep our eyes on the goal, and continue moving forward. Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll reach that 30,090-point milestone by December 15 and have those $300 in PayPal rewards to show for our efforts. One point at a time. One day at a time. And always remembering to be grateful, thankful, and blessed.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
