David and I stopped in at Half & Price Bookstores the other day because our Cousin Joseph asked us to bring him. While we waited for him to get the books he wanted David an I wandered around. I went over to look for a Danille Steel book I had been wanting but hadn’t purchased.
The funny part is they didn’t have the book I was looking for but they had one of Danille Stells older novels Now and Forever I hadn’t seen before. My foot was hurting so I told David I was going to go wait in the car for him and Joseph to finish shopping. I put the book back on the shelf.
Finally Joseph and David came out to the car. I asked Joseph if he had found what he was looking for and he said yes. Then David handed me a package and he had bought the book I had found for me. That meant so much to me because David knows how much I love reading and having her books is like having a new friend. To me this is Love.
I haven’t had time to read the book yet with everything that has been going on but with Charlie being out of Town and David working late this weekend its going to be nice to crawl into bed with this book and just relax with Pheobie. If you love to read as much as I do come and join me on my front porch and I will make us some Hot Chocolate.
About the book:
Although Jessica and Ian Clarke have been married seven years, they insist the thrill and excitement haven’t dimmed. At Jessica’s urging, Ian has quit his advertising job to become a struggling writer, and she supports him with her successful San Francisco boutique.
Ian’s financial dependence on Jessica upsets him more than he admits, and in a moment of bored malaise, Ian’s first casual indiscretion will create a nightmare that threatens everything Jessica and Ian have carefully built. What he does changes their lives, and them, perhaps forever, as they struggle to pay the price of his foolhardy affair.
