Living in Texas during the Summer heat you would expect heat rash and even your legs chapping from your thighs rubbing together if your overweight but in Autumn or Fall it shouldn’t happen should it with cooler Weather but that isn’t the case with me.
I know this might be a little tmi but I’ve been sweating more than I should under my breast because they are huge. Which I hate. I am grateful for the body the LORD blessed me with but they could have made my chest a little bit smaller and I would have been okay with that.
Then the other day David came home and asked me for the salve I use because he was chapped as well. For him it was on his butt. Now, I know this might not be something David wanted shared but were humand and were not perfect. We end up with rashes and things other people would get as well.
Which is I’m excited to be here today with our Interactive Christmas Gift Guide because when we’re choosing products for our Christmas Gift Guide and Wish List, I love finding companies and products that are a little different from the usual gifts you see everywhere.
I especially love finding gifts that people can actually use throughout the year instead of opening on Christmas morning and then putting away in a drawer or closet. That’s what caught my attention about Body Glide.
If you’ve ever had a problem with heat rash or chafing it sucks. Body At times it hurts and as much as I hate to admit it sometimes it even causes a smell. Which means I don’t want to be around anyone and that is hard when you have a family or places to go.
Glide Stops Trouble Before It Starts which is one of the first things you see when visiting the Body Glide website, and honestly, I think a lot of people can relate. Not only that there is no, fragrance to compete with what is already happening.
Chafing and friction aren’t exactly things most of us want to talk about, but they’re real problems. Whether you’re exercising, walking, working outside, traveling, hiking, running errands, or simply dealing with hot weather, being uncomfortable can put a damper on your entire day.
And living in Texas, where we can have temperatures over 100 degrees, I know how important it can be to stay comfortable. I was surprised to find out Body Glide has been around since 1996, and the company makes products designed to help prevent friction and the discomfort that can come with it.
I received several Body Glide products in exchange for an honest review, and I’m looking forward to trying them. I want to be honest with you, though. I haven’t opened them and personally tested every product yet because some of these are being saved for Christmas. So this post is our introduction to Body Glide and a preview of what we’ve received—not a pretend hands-on review. Once I’ve actually used the products, I’ll be able to come back and tell you what I think.
When I started looking around the Body Glide website, I realized there is much more available than I initially knew about. Let’s take a few minutes and get to know more about the products which would make great Stocking Stuffers.
Body Glide Original Anti-Chafe Balm– The Original Anti-Chafe Balm is designed to help protect areas where friction can become a problem. It’s the blue stick that many people will recognize.
Body Glide For Her– There is also a Body Glide that comes in a pin container I know Suzzane would have liked. Which caught my attention. It is designed with the same basic purpose while including coconut and almond oils.
Skin Glide– Skin Glide is one of the products that really caught my attention because it is designed as a balm-to-lotion anti-friction product for areas such as bra lines, waistbands, and tight clothing. I can’t wait to try it on my thights.
I’m particularly interested in this one because, let’s be honest, there are certain areas where friction can become a real problem. I don’t mind admitting that. The funny part is even though David wouldn’t admit it I could see him using it as well.
Foot Glide– Foot Glide is made for areas of the feet that can experience rubbing, including toes, heels, and arches. This could make a thoughtful gift for someone who spends a lot of time walking, running, exercising, or working on their feet.
Foot Glide would make a wonderful gift for David also for Charlie if he ever goes back to work. But I also wouldn’t mind getting it for my sister because she does a lot of walking at work. As well as for me when I’m walking during the day.
Outdoor Fragrance-Free Anti-Chafe– Another product that caught my attention was the outdoor fragrance-free anti-chafe stick in the green camouflage-style packaging. This package reminds me of the Military so I know David and Charlie would like it a lot.
I actually like the look of this one because it doesn’t scream “beauty product.” I could see a man tossing it into a gym bag, work bag, or travel bag without thinking twice about it. I wish I had this when Charlie used to play basketball in and out. I may ask my niece Alyssa if she thinks Lily and Jason could use it because there always playing sports.
Cycle Glide– Body Glide also makes Cycle Glide for cyclists who need protection from friction while riding. Charlie and Bradley used to ride there bikes all over town so this would have made a wonderful gift for them.
Body Glide also has gift options, including a gift box that brings several products together. I liked how each box contains two products and you can pick which products you want to put in the box making your fits unique.
The gift box is described as “The Ultimate Gift for Anyone Who Moves.” The gift box includes Original, For Her, Skin Glide, and Foot Glide, giving someone several different products to try. I like this as a Christmas gift because it gives someone several products instead of just one item.
As I looked through the website, I realized there are a lot of people who could use these products.
- Runners and marathoners
- People starting a new workout routine
- Outdoor enthusiasts
- Hikers and cyclists
- People who work outside
- People who spend long hours on their feet
- Travelers and commuters
- People preparing for races or fitness events
- Anyone who deals with everyday friction and chafing
One of my favorite things about Body Glide is that this doesn’t have to be a Christmas-only gift. In fact, that’s exactly the kind of gift I want to find for our Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List. You can give Body Glide at Christmas, and then use it in January, February, March, spring, summer, and beyond.
Here in Texas, I can especially see the value during the summer months when the heat can make everything feel more uncomfortable. But you don’t have to wait for summer. Walking, traveling, working, exercising, hiking, cycling, and everyday life can all bring situations where friction and chaffing becomes an issue.
I want to make sure I’m completely honest with you about this review. I received these products in exchange for a review, but I’m not going to tell you that I personally tested something when I haven’t. The products are still boxed because I want to save them for Christmas, so right now I’m sharing what made Body Glide stand out to me and why I think the company deserves a place in our Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List.
Once we’ve had the opportunity to use the products, I’ll update you with our hands-on thoughts. But with the past week I’ve had and my breasts sweating and ending up with heat rash its harder not to open the products and try them out.
As we continue adding to our Christmas Gift Guide and Wish List, I’m going to keep looking for companies that offer gifts people can actually enjoy and use. As well as Gifts that are unique and different or tackel a product we all have. Body Glide fits that idea perfectly.
It may not be the first thing you think of when you hear “Christmas gift,” but sometimes the most useful gifts are the ones people don’t realize they need until they have them. So as we help Santa load up his sleigh, Body Glide is one company we’re happy to have discovered.
