Since mom is the heart of the home #Buttercup but dad is the one who finances it I thought when we began our Advent Calendars and Stocking Stuffers we should begin with mom because if mom isn’t happy nobody is happy. Are they?
Come and join me as we help Santa with Mom because, let’s be honest, Mom is usually the person making everyone else Christmas happen. Its time to spoil her.
Mom’s are the ones cooking, cleaning, working, shopping, wrapping, organizing, remembering appointments, finding missing shoes, answering questions and somehow keeping Christmas moving along.

Three Advent Calendars for Mom
I don’t know in your home but in our home everyone gets a new Christmas Ornament each year. I thought it would be fun to purchase a Christmas Ornament Advent Calendar for our home.
I love this idea because Mom doesn’t just get a little surprise every day. She gets something she can actually use. Not, only that these ornaments can be used year after year.
Can you imagine opening a little door each day and finding a new Christmas ornament. By Christmas Eve, Mom has a whole collection of new decorations for the tree.
And then next Christmas, when she pulls those ornaments back out, she’ll remember the Christmas when someone gave her a little bit of Christmas magic every day.
A Book Lovers Advent Calendar– this calendar is for the Mom who would rather curl up with a good book, this one is an easy choice. It’s also a gift I would like to share with my mother in law and my girl friends.
A bookish Advent calendar can give her little surprises throughout December—book-related treasures, reading accessories, bookmarks and other things that make being a reader even more fun.
More importantly, it gives Mom permission to say: “I’m going to sit down and read for a few minutes.” And nobody gets to ask her to do anything else! At all. Period. Buttercup.
A Spa & Pampering Advent Calendar– because we all know Mom deserves to be pampered twice. First, she gets to open a little surprise every day. Then she gets to actually use those goodies for some much-needed time for herself.
And if you really want to blow Mom’s mind, don’t forget the comfy pajamas. Because Mom is going to need five minutes to herself during this crazy, unexpected holiday season when you never know what’s going to happen—or when.
Give her the pajamas. Give her the spa goodies. Give her permission to close the door. And Don’t Forget Her Stocking! I’m not talking about ordinary socks. I’m talking about fun slipper socks!
Something soft, cozy and maybe covered in snowflakes, Santas, reindeer, a favorite character, animals or something else that makes Mom smile.
Then add chocolate. Because if Mom is finally sitting down for five minutes, she deserves a little treat. And if you really want to turn those five minutes into a true grown-up spa night, add her favorite drink—or even a mini bottle of wine where appropriate.
Now we’ve got a pretty good little Mom’s Christmas survival kit:
Pajamas.
Slipper socks.
Spa goodies.
Chocolate.
A few minutes of peace and quiet.

Now we’re going to have a little fun. I’m going to show you what I would pick that I hope and Pray Santa brings me this year. Or shares with Charlie and David so they can get me something I actually want and will use.
I wanted to pick some Advent calendars that I would actually want—and not necessarily the ones everyone would expect me to choose. Because everybody already knows I love books.
Everybody knows I love chocolate. And yes, I still love those things. But what about the things you might not know about me? Because BUTTERCUP, I like things you might not know about me.
I love sitting down during Christmas with a cozy blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and a good movie. So when I saw the idea of a Movie Night Advent Calendar, I immediately thought:
Why isn’t this a Christmas Advent Calendar 2026 | 25 Days Movie Night Christmas Countdown? I would love opening one each night and finding out which movie is waiting for me.
Have I seen it? Have I never seen it? Is it an old favorite? Is it something Charlie has talked me into watching? That’s half the fun. And, of course, if I’m going to watch a movie…
Everybody knows I love chocolate, but you might not know that I’m also a huge popcorn fan. So a Popcorn Advent Calendar sounds like a pretty great addition to my Christmas wish list.
Different flavors. Different surprises. And something Charlie, David and I can enjoy together while we’re watching our movie. You really can’t have movie night without popcorn. At least not at my house! How about your home?
Now that Charlie is driving I wouldn’t mind having 24 Days Of Classic American Cars Advent Calendar,2D acrylic. Which I can add to my Hot Wheels collection.
Charlie and I love going on adventures, so of course we’re going to need some muscle cars. I’m hoping there’s a ’64½ Mustang in there. Maybe a Dodge Charger for Suzanne and Charlie.
And if we don’t find those? That’s okay, too. Maybe there will be a Woody like David likes. Maybe we’ll find some old-fashioned pickup trucks. That’s the fun of opening the doors. You never know what’s waiting for you.
And while we’re cruising down the road, we’re definitely going to want to hit Route 66 so I would need Route 66 Centennial Advent Calendar, 24 Days of American Road Legends– 1926–2026 Collector’s Edition, 24 Days of Vinta
I want to see the unusual roadside attractions, find Rosie the Riveter statues and discover all those little pieces of Americana that make a road trip memorable.
Want to come along with us?I just need to warn you about one thing. You might need some headphones. Because Charlie is probably going to have the music blaring.
And every once in a while, he thinks he’s Mario Andretti. But that’s what makes driving with him fun. So, Santa, hold on. Because if you think your reindeer can fly… You ain’t seen nothing yet!
Last but not least I would like to have a Santa Advent Calendar This one is a little different for me. I would choose a Santa Advent Calendar in memory of my Uncle Chuck.
Uncle Chuck loved Christmas so much that he kept Christmas up year-round. And I’m not talking about putting one little Christmas decoration on the mantel. He had seven Christmas trees in his house.
Seven! That stayed up year round. Yes, you heard me right. 365 days. 24/7. Can you imagine that? If not I would have loved to take you to see them but he is celebrating Christmas in Heaven this year and the Trees are gone.
So when I see a Santa Advent Calendar, I can’t help but think about Uncle Chuck and how much he loved Christmas. Sometimes a Christmas decoration is more than a decoration.
Sometimes it brings a person, a memory and a whole lot of love right back into your heart. And that’s one of the reasons I love Christmas so much. How about you?
So there you have it. For Mom, I’m thinking about Christmas ornaments, books, spa goodies, pajamas, chocolate and cozy slipper socks then she can have time to herself.
But for me? Give me a movie night. Give me popcorn. Give me some muscle cars. Put me on Route 66. And give me a Santa that reminds me of Uncle Chuck. That’s a pretty good Christmas to me.
And who knows? Maybe I’ll throw a few other unexpected Advent calendars into my wish list before we’re finished. Because this is only Day One of our Advent Calendar & Stocking Stuffer Interactive Christmas Gift Guide.
I’m going to be looking for gifts for dads, grandparents, new moms, siblings, teens, kids, dog lovers, dogs, readers, book clubs, gamers, anime fans, coffee lovers, cooks, DIYers, entrepreneurs and even the person who does absolutely everything.
And I’m going to be looking for gifts that don’t require you to spend a fortune. I can’t stress this enough check Dollar Tree, Aldi, DD, City Trends, Five Below and Walmart. Shop around. Compare prices. Look for the biggest bang for your buck.
Because Christmas doesn’t have to cost a fortune to be magical. Sometimes the best gift is simply the one that makes someone say: “How did you know I would love this?”
