Fall Into a Good Book: Three Fall Reads for Your Reading Time

Fall is here and I’ve been thinking about how little time I’ve actually taken to enjoy it. I’ve been stuck inside forever and a day, or at least that’s what it feels like sometimes! Don’t get me wrong. Greatful Moments is a Godsend, and as Christmas gets closer, I really want to start gearing up, growing the blog again, and getting out into the public more.

But sometimes, you just need to sit down and enjoy the day. So I’ve decided that I’m going to take 30 minutes every day for reading. Yes, I’m going to go over our usual 10 minutes of reading! I have a beautiful little balcony right outside my door, and I can grab my book, head outside, and enjoy some quiet time.

The leaves are changing colors, and it seems like the perfect time to find a few new books featuring fall. I want to enjoy one of the seasons the Lord has brought into our lives. And when I say fall, I mean fall. Not Thanksgiving. Not Halloween. Not Christmas. Not AUTUMN.

Those seasons and holidays will have their own time, and I love them, too. Right now, I want to enjoy fall just as it is. This week I found three books that caught my attention, and I thought they might give you a few ideas for your own reading time. Whether you enjoy a cozy romance or simply want something fun to read before bed, there is no reason we can’t make a little time for ourselves.

📚 Three Books to Enjoy This Fall

1. Cozy Fall Word Search: A Large Print Puzzle Book for Adults & Seniors to Relax– Sometimes you don’t want to read a whole chapter or keep up with a complicated story. Sometimes you just want to sit down, relax, and give your mind something enjoyable to do.

That’s why I thought this cozy fall word search book would be a fun addition to our list. With its large-print puzzles, it offers a seasonal activity for adults who enjoy word searches. Before you say this isn’t reading yes, it is as you have to read the words you will be finding.

Imagine finishing a busy day, settling into your favorite chair, and working on a puzzle for a little while. You could even enjoy a glass of wine if that’s your kind of evening. There’s no deadline, no chapter to finish, and no pressure to do anything other than enjoy yourself.

2. If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia– If you enjoy cozy fall romance, this is another title to explore as we settle into the season.

Sometimes a good romance is exactly what you need when you want to step away from your to-do list and spend a little time in somebody else’s world. Instead of worrying about everything that needs to be done tomorrow, you can enjoy a story and let yourself relax for a while. I’m adding If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia to our fall reading picks for those who love seasonal romance and want something different to enjoy during their daily reading time.

3. Fall I Want by Lyra Parish– For readers who like their fall romance with a little more spice, take a look at Fall I Want by Lyra Parish, the first book in the Cozy Creek Collection.

This small-town romantic comedy features a brokenhearted billionaire, fake dating, an unexpected fake proposal, and two people whose pretend relationship starts becoming something more. With autumn vibes, opposites attracting, and a grumpy-meets-sunshine dynamic, it sounds like a fun choice for readers who enjoy a little romantic escapism. If you like your fall stories with small-town charm and plenty of romantic complications, this one may be worth adding to your list.

IU wanted to let you know this isn’t about finishing a certain number of books or adding another task to my day. It’s about making time to enjoy something I love. Its taking care of me for once and giving me times for the things I enjoy which I don’t do enough of. Are you this way to?

I’m planning to take 30 minutes each day, head out onto my balcony when I can, and spend some time reading. Maybe I’ll read a romance. Maybe I’ll pick up something else that catches my attention. The important thing is that I’m giving myself permission to slow down.

We spend so much time thinking about the next holiday, the next project, and everything that needs to get done. Before we know it, the season has passed, and we haven’t stopped long enough to enjoy it. I don’t want to do that this year. I hope you will join me and take time for yourself as well.

Now, I have a question for you. Have you found a good fall romance, a mystery you can’t put down, or a puzzle book you enjoy working on in the evening? I’d love to hear what you’re reading! Share your favorite fall reads in the comments so we can discover more books to enjoy throughout the season.

And if you can, give yourself a little reading time, too. Start with 10 minutes if that’s what your day allows, or stretch it to 30 minutes if you can. Sometimes the blessing isn’t in getting one more thing done. Sometimes it’s in sitting still long enough to enjoy the day the Lord has given us. Here’s to fall, a good book, and making a little time for ourselves.
