Cremo Grooming Collection Review: Body Wash, Deodorant & Everyday Family Use | A Household Favorite
Updated August 2026: This review has been updated after continued use in our home. What started as a product review became part of Charlie and David’s everyday grooming routine.
A while back, we received a set of grooming products from Cremo which offers bath and body items for Charlie and David to try, including body washes and deodorants. I thought I had already written this review when they first came in, but when I went back to look for it recently, I couldn’t find it. The truth is, these products never really left our routine, so this ended up becoming more of a long-term use update rather than a first impression.
I believe Cremo originally arrived during the holiday season, around Christmas, because of some of the seasonal names included in the collection. What started as something we planned to test became something that continued being used in our home throughout different seasons. That is what made me want to share this review again, because Cremo has proven itself through real everyday use instead of simply being tested and placed aside.
A first impression can tell you what you notice when you open a package, but continued use tells you whether a product truly earns a place in your home. Cremo has done that for our family. As well as Bradley and a few other friends of Charlie’s who has decided they want to purchase these products for themselves.
Cremo is a modern grooming brand that focuses on combining everyday practicality with more elevated fragrance profiles including Holiday scents. The idea is simple: take basic grooming products like body wash and deodorant and create scents and formulas that make everyday routines feel a little more intentional without making them complicated.
In our home, these products were used by both teens and adults, which gave us a true family perspective. Grooming products are not just about the person using them. Often, moms and family members are the ones shopping for these items, creating gift baskets, preparing care packages, or choosing products that help their family build good routines.
The Cremo collection we used included body washes and deodorants featuring Mulled Pomegranate that reminded me of a fun spiced drink on a Winters night, Fireside Vanilla made me want to grab a book on a cold Winters night and curl up by the fireplace, Italian Bergamot was David’s favorite scent and one he didn’t want to share, and Palo Santo reminded Charlie of a Sandy desert area he said we should visit.
The Mulled Pomegranate Body Wash originally felt perfect for the holiday season. With its fruity scent and slightly smoky feel, it had a warmth that fit naturally with Christmas and winter routines. What surprised me was that it did not feel like a scent that had to be packed away once the holidays ended. Because it was balanced and not overly sweet, it continued working well beyond the holiday season.
The Fireside Vanilla Body Wash brought a completely different experience. This scent had a warmer, cozier feeling with soft vanilla and a comforting fragrance profile. It became more of an evening or relaxing shower choice in our home. It had that cozy feeling that makes a normal routine feel like a small moment of self-care.
The Italian Bergamot Body Wash became one of the strongest everyday favorites. It has a brighter, fresher scent with citrus notes combined with neroli blossom and vetiver. This made it a versatile option that worked well across different ages in our household. Bradley liked this one a lot and it is what I will get him for Christmas.
What stood out most about the body washes was how the fragrance developed during use. The scent did not feel flat or disappear immediately. The body wash created a rich lather and allowed the fragrance experience to build as part of the shower routine. It felt like a small upgrade from an ordinary body wash while still being practical enough for everyday use.
The Palo Santo scent was another favorite in our home. With notes of cardamom and a deeper, more calming fragrance profile, this one became Charlie’s favorite. It offered something different from the typical scents often found in personal care products and gave him a choice that felt more personal.
The deodorants David and Charlie used included Italian Bergamot and Palo Santo. The Italian Bergamot Deodorant became a regular daytime choice because of its clean, fresh scent. It worked well for school, work, and everyday activities without feeling overpowering. A deodorant is something that becomes part of a person’s daily routine, so finding one that someone actually enjoys using makes a difference.
The Palo Santo Deodorant offered a deeper, more wood-based scent. While Italian Bergamot felt bright and fresh, Palo Santo had a warmer and more grounded feeling. In our home, this became more of a relaxed or evening scent option while still being comfortable enough for everyday wear. This one David said men would like because it would remind them of the woods and hunting. Both deodorants had a smooth application and became products that naturally fit into daily grooming habits instead of sitting unused.
One thing that stood out during long-term use was how naturally these products fit into our household. They became part of real routines rather than staying in “review mode.” In a home with teens and adults at different stages of personal care, products that are easy to use and enjoyable are more likely to become habits.
We’ve also started incorporating more conversations around personal care routines as Charlie continues growing and becoming more independent. David uses grooming products for beard care as well, so the Cremo collection connects naturally with a larger personal care routine instead of being just one individual product.
That is one reason Cremo works well for several gift guides throughout the year. While it makes a wonderful Father’s Day gift, it is not limited to dads. These products can be thoughtful choices for husbands, sons, college students, teachers, coaches, and anyone who appreciates practical grooming products.
For back-to-school, Cremo makes a great option for teen care packages or college student essentials. It is also a thoughtful gift idea for teachers, including gym teachers and coaches who spend long days staying active and may appreciate something practical they can actually use over and over.
For Christmas gift baskets, summer travel bags, birthday gifts, or everyday household purchases, Cremo fits because these are products that continue being used after the wrapping paper is gone. As women, we are often the ones purchasing these everyday essentials for our families. What I appreciate about Cremo is that it gives us a way to choose something practical while still making the person receiving it feel like we put thought into the gift. While shopping the website I learned these products are also for women.
Our Butterfly Rating System (Home Review Scale)
As we continue sharing family reviews, we use our Butterfly Rating System to show how products fit into different areas of everyday life. A product may become a personal favorite, a family favorite, or simply something that makes routines easier.
This Cremo collection receives a Blue Butterfly for Charlie and David because these products became consistent parts of their grooming routines and were used responsibly as part of their daily habits.
It receives a Purple Butterfly for family use because the collection naturally fits into a household where different people have different preferences and needs.
It receives a Yellow Butterfly from me because I appreciate products that are simple, practical, and easy to purchase while still feeling like a thoughtful choice.
Overall, Cremo has earned a place as a household favorite because these products were not simply received, tested, and forgotten. They became part of our everyday life. For families looking for grooming products with elevated fragrances, practical formulas, and real everyday value, Cremo is a collection worth considering.
Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
