Choose Your Reader
As I continue to find new ways to get Charlie interested in his studies I plan on using Choose Your Reader with our Unit Studies/ Lesson Plans featuring business owners in DFW as I will have them read a interview Charlie composes the questions for.
At a time when families are separated, Choose Your Reader brings them together through illustrated recorded stories. With Choose Your Reader, a child creates his or her own virtual library of stories read to them by people they know and love.
The adult records a story using highlighted text to control pacing, then sends that story by email, text, or WhatsApp. The child receives the story and it gets added to their virtual library.
The highlighted text is displayed during playback, helping children learn to read. When a child wants to hear a story from someone they know and love it is available immediately and perpetually. A Christmas gift today, a family heirloom tomorrow.
An annual subscription costs $50, which includes unlimited reading, sharing, and storage of over 100 books in 5 languages. I wish I had knew about this before my parents passed away because I could have had them read a book to Charlie.
For Christmas this year I plan on purchasing a subscription for my nieces and David’s mom will be able to read a story to her great grandkids that they will always have.
