Well, Buttercup… I thought poor Sandy was going to be placed inside a dog house and never let out the other day when she had a accident on Charlie’s bed. Instead I learned how much Charlie loved her.

He didn’t scream at her or threaten her in anyway. He just went into his closet and got out the Cot his friends sleep on when they visit. Leaving his bed with the stain on it. I think he thought David or I would clean it but not this time BUTTERCUP.

Your not working and David and I are its time you do things for yourself. Because I didn’t think Charlie would sleep in the bed once it was cleaned I did offer to buy him some new sheets but he didn’t want them.

Then David decided to buy a cleaner so Charlie would be able to clean his bed if he decided to. While we was at Walmart David found Carbona Upholstery Cleaner because sometimes a product comes looking for you.

In this case, the dog brought me something new to try. Okay, maybe not literally. But when we had an accident on Charlie’s bed and needed something to clean it, David had already picked up a bottle of Carbona Oxy Powered Upholstery Cleaner at Walmart.

And apparently, it was time to see what this little bottle could do. We Bought It for Charlie’s Bed Charlie is pretty particular about his things. Especially his car. Actually, I’m pretty sure Charlie would wash and clean that car every single day if we let him.

So when the dog accidentally had an accident on his bed, we needed something that could actually clean the upholstery and get rid of the odor. David had purchased the Carbona Oxy Powered Upholstery Cleaner.

Now, I want to point something out because I didn’t realize it until later. Carbona also makes a pet-specific stain and odor product, and honestly, that’s the one I wish David had bought. But I didn’t look closely enough when he picked this one up. That’s on me.

I brought it home and David gave Oxy upholstery cleaner, to Charlie. It sat on his desk for a week until he finally decided to give it a try. And I’m glad he finally decided to use it because I wasn’t going to do it for him.

So… Did It Work? Yes. It did. The stain on Charlie’s bed came out, and the odor from the accident was gone too. That was the part I really cared about. I didn’t notice a harsh smell while I was using it, either, which I appreciated.

And there’s something else I really like about this bottle. The Brush Is Built Right Into the Top That little brush-top applicator is handy and makes cleaning up messes easier to do with one hand.

You don’t have to spray or apply the product and then go searching through your cleaning supplies for something to scrub with. The brush lets you work the product into the upholstery or in this case a mattress right where you need it.

For a spot-cleaning job, that’s convenient. And because you only need a little bit, this 3.5-ounce bottle has lasted longer than I expected. The container says it works on Seven-Day-Old Stains?

Now, this is one of those claims that caught my attention. As a mom, that sounds pretty darn good to me. Because when my children were little, I couldn’t always get to a stain the second it happened.

Sometimes you discover it later. Sometimes you have absolutely no idea how long it has been there. And sometimes you look at something and think: “How in the world did I miss that?”

So a product designed to tackle fresh AND older stains is definitely something I can appreciate. Would I Buy It Again? Here’s where I’m going to be completely honest with you. There is another product that comes in a red can that has been around forever, and I like that one better.

I can’t remember the brand right now, and I’m not going to make one up just so I can put it in the article. That’s not how I do reviews. Carbona worked. It got the stain out. It got rid of the odor we were dealing with.

I like the built-in brush. And it doesn’t take a lot of product. David and Charlie liked it a lot. But did it replace my old favorite? No. But I Would Buy Another Bottle Even though this isn’t my favorite upholstery cleaner, I would buy another bottle.

Why? Because I can think of plenty of places where we could use it. Charlie has a car. And if you know Charlie, you know that car is going to stay clean. A cleaner that can be used on upholstery, mattresses and car seats is something I’d rather have in the house than realize I need it after somebody spills something.

And that is what I like about finding products like this. They are useful. They’re not something that sits in a cabinet until you finally decide to throw it away. Then I Went Looking at the Rest of the Carbona Line.

This is where things got interesting. I started looking at what else Carbona makes. And suddenly, one little bottle of upholstery cleaner had me thinking about a whole bunch of other products.

They have carpet and upholstery care. They have laundry careI can’t wait to show David and see if he wants to try it out. They have household products I want to try and there’s even an oven rack and grill cleaner.

And considering David has become the King of the Blackstone, I’m pretty sure that grill cleaner caught my attention for a reason. Don’t tell David I called him the King of the Blackstone. It’ll go straight to his head.

I also saw products like color grabbers and stain-specific cleaners for things such as coffee, tea, wine and juice. There are even products for blood, dairy and ice cream stains. Which I should have taken stock out in when Charlie was little.

Now I’m curious about the laundry products, too. And Then I Started Thinking About Christmas This is where Carbona made its way into our Christmas Gift Guide. Because why not?

Sometimes we get so caught up in buying toys, gadgets and things that look pretty under the Christmas tree that we forget how useful a good household product can be. Or at least I do.

I have a question for you. What if you put together a cleaning basket for somebody? A young family with children could use it. A new homeowner could use it. Someone with pets could use it.

Someone who is particular about keeping their car clean could use it. You could put several stain and cleaning products together and make a useful little Christmas gift basket especially for Seniors that can’t afford these products.

And suddenly, cleaning products don’t seem boring anymore. They’re practical. They’re something somebody can actually use. I Started Finding Gifts for More Than Just Me The more I looked, the more I started thinking about people in my own family.

I found things I could use around my house. I found things that would make sense for Charlie because of his car. And I started thinking about my nieces and nephews who have younger children.

Because let’s face it… Kids make messes. Juice happens. Food happens. Milk happens. And sometimes mysterious stains happen that nobody wants to claim responsibility for. A useful gift that can help somebody clean up those messes? I’m okay with that.

My Honest Take So, would I recommend Carbona Oxy Powered Upholstery Cleaner? Yes. It worked for us. It removed the stain from Charlie’s bed. It eliminated the odor we were dealing with.

I like the built-in brush. It doesn’t take much product to work. And it has turned out to be useful enough that I’d keep another bottle in the house. Would I have preferred David to buy the pet-specific Carbona product? Yes! I wish he had. But I didn’t look closely enough when he picked it up, either.

So next time, I’m looking at the bottle myself. And that’s part of being honest about a product review. I’m not going to tell you this is the greatest upholstery cleaner ever made just because it worked.

There is another red-can product I still like better because it’s what I grew up with and I’m used to it. But Carbona worked, and that’s worth telling you. I bought this product myself. Nobody sent it to me. Nobody asked me to write this review.

David found it at Walmart and bought it because we needed something to clean Charlie’s bed. It worked. Then I went looking at the company and discovered that Carbona makes a whole lot more products than I realized. And now I’m curious about some of those, too.

Again I wanted to let you know if I ould I buy it again? Yes. Did it work for us? Yes. Is it my favorite? No. But it is Charlie and David’s favorite and in this house that counts. Plus, it didn’t hurt the dogs and that means more than anything to me.

Would I like to try some of Carbona’s other products? Absolutely. And that’s how a bottle David grabbed at Walmart because we needed to clean a dog accident off Charlie’s bed turned into a possible addition to our Christmas shopping list and found its way inside our Christmas Gift Guide.
