Charlie and I was getting ready to go on one of our adventures the other day and I noticed his Converse had finally torn and his white tennis shoes from Burn Marc was dirty and he didn’t want to worry them. Charlie reached for his boots from Bruno Mar even though it was raining and I was afraid he might slip.
As a mom, I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to end up in a fight when we had a errand to run. I just decided than when shopping for Charlie who is a young man now because his birthday is nine days before Christmas, that I would get him a new pair of Tennis Shoes.
The other problem with that was it’s not always easy to know what they would like or what they would actually want. But one thing that’s always a hit in our home is shoes from Bruno Marc. I went online and was looking around when Charlie walked into my room and asked what I was doing.
I said I’m looking for a pair of shoes for David. Charlie said cool. David needs good shoes. Then he helped me find a pair for his dad and while we was looking Charlie pointed out a couple pairs of tennis shoes he liked. I was able to request a pair without Charlie knowing giving him a Birthday/ Christmas present he will actually like and use for once.
One thingI wanted to point out is we’ve had the opportunity to work with Bruno Marc in the past. Charlie has a pair of boots from them that he absolutely loves. He would probably wear those boots every single day if I let him. Not, only that he has a pair of Loafers he uses for Church.
But as winter gets here, we’re starting to get more rainy days, and that means wet and slippery ground. So I wanted to get Charlie a pair of tennis shoes that would be comfortable, look nice, and be a good choice for those days when he’s going to be walking around outside.
And this is why I’m Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed that Bruno Marc sent me this new pair of white breathable tennis shoes for Charlie. Now, white in winter isn’t necessarily something I would recommend, especially when we’re dealing with all the slush and rain. But when you have a teenager ie young man, you pick your battles. Charlie likes white shoes, so white shoes it is. And for once, I know that I’ve actually picked out something that he’s going to like.
These Bruno Marc shoes are white with black laces and black detailing around the sides. They have a really neat breathable design with little openings throughout the sides of the shoes. The openings are small, but you can definitely tell they’re there to help the shoes breathe.
I really like the little slash-like details on the sides, too. The design has a combination of materials and textures, including a little square-patterned section that gives the shoes more personality than just a plain white sneaker. The Bruno Marc name is written in small gold lettering on the outside of the right shoe. It’s subtle and isn’t something that screams the brand at you, which I actually like.
The shoes also have a white sole with some really cute little lines and breaks in the design. There’s even a little sticker underneath with information about the shoes, including that they’re made in China. I had never really paid attention to that little sticker on shoes before!
Charlie wears a size 11, and these were true to size. We didn’t need to go up or down a size, which makes ordering a pair much easier. They also come with an extra pair of shoelaces, which I thought was a nice little bonus. Now, these are shoes that have to be tied, and if you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you probably know that Charlie would rather have a pair of shoes he can slide on when he’s dressing up. But I think these are worth taking the extra minute to tie.
I can see him wearing these with jeans for a more casual look, but I can also see him wearing them with a nice shirt and suit jacket when he needs to dress up. The slightly raised heel even gives him a little bit of extra height. And apparently, I’m not the only one who likes them.
David saw the shoes and said he would like to have a pair. That actually surprised me because David normally wants black shoes! So if these white Bruno Marc shoes caught his attention, I think that’s saying something so Santa we might need to bring David and even Gerald a pair of shoes.
I can see these shoes being a great gift for a teenager, a young man, or even Dad. That’s why you’ll find them in more than one of our Christmas gift guides this year. They’re going into our Teen Gift Guide ie Young Men’s Gift Guide, and Men’s Gift Guide, as well as our Christmas Gift Guide Wish List. And Santa, I think we can breathe a little easier this year.
Once we get these Bruno Marc shoes wrapped and loaded onto the sleigh, we can feel pretty confident that we’re taking Charlie something he’s actually going to like. After all, when your son’s birthday is nine days before Christmas, finding something that works for both occasions is a win!
I received these shoes from Bruno Marc in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own. Thank to the kindness and genoristy of Bruno Marc you can find these Bruno Marc breathable tennis shoes in our Greatful Moments Christmas Gift Guide Wish List this year.
Gracias,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
