We made it through the week and all I can say this morning is thank the LORD. I don’t know how your week went but for me personally it was trial and error. One foot forward and two steps backwards is how most of the week seemed to go.
David ended up with a #Toothache and even though we seemed to be getting caught up he ended up taking a extra day off which means his check is going to be short again.
Since I know the LORD knows our needs before we do I’m just going to put everything in his hands and keep moving forward. Charlie still hasn’t found a job and doesn’t seem to want to.
Now he is borrowing money he has no, way to pay back because he wants to get his Drivers License which should have been done months ago. He has also decided he wants to go to Hobart, Oklahoma again which I don’t think he should.
Then there is Gerald David told him and Charlie they needed to apply for Food Stamps and of course both of them refused. Again I’m going to pick my battles and not argue because it isn’t worth it.
David is the one trying to pay all the bills and he is the one that needs to sit them both down and lay the law down to them. If they get mad they can find somewhere else to live because honestly I’m done.
It’s Sunday, and we’re starting a brand-new week. I don’t know what and I don’t know what this week will bring but I know I’m PRAYING and hoping everything works out and if not it’s okay because it wasn’t the LORD will.
As I make a cup of Coffee and get ready for my day round here, we’re still dealing with the blog and trying to get the front page fixed. There have been frustrations, disappointments, and plenty of moments when I’ve wondered what we’re going to do next.
But through it all, the Lord has continued to bless us with new opportunities. And because of that, I refuse to give up. Which is why sometimes you just have to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.
I may not understand why something is happening. Imay not know how everything is going to work out. I may not even know what we’re supposed to do next.
But I believe the Lord knows. As I said before he knows our needs before we do. He knows what we’re praying for before we find the words. He knows the doors we hope will open, the problems we’re trying to solve, and the things that are weighing on our hearts.
So this week, I’m choosing to keep moving forward and trust Him with the things I cannot control. Because this is a new week and for my family a new week means a new beginning.
Maybe last week was difficult for you. Maybe you had a week that left you exhausted. Maybe something didn’t work out the way you wanted it to. Maybe you’re carrying something into this new week that you wish you could leave behind.
Whatever happened, today is a new day. You don’t have to have the entire week figured out. You don’t have to solve every problem today. Just take the next step. Then take another. Put one foot in front of the other and keep going.
This Sunday, I want to ask you a simple question: If you Pray what are you praying for this week? Are you praying for your family? Your marriage? Your children or grandchildren?
Your job? Your business? A new opportunity? A financial breakthrough? Healing for someone you love? Strength to get through something difficult? Maybe you’re praying for something that you haven’t even told anyone about.
Whatever is on your heart, you can bring it to God. And if you would like someone else to pray alongside you, share your prayer request with us. You can leave it in the comments or reach out privately if you aren’t comfortable sharing it publicly. Sometimes knowing that someone else is praying with us can make a difficult road feel a little less lonely.
My Prayer for You This Week
Lord,
As we begin this new week, I pray for everyone reading this.
You know what each person is carrying.
You know the worries they haven’t shared, the decisions they need to make, and the prayers they are quietly holding in their hearts.
Give them strength for the days ahead. Give them wisdom when they don’t know which direction to take. Give them peace when things feel overwhelming.
Open the doors that need to be opened and give them patience when they need to wait. Help us remember that we don’t have to know what tomorrow holds because You already do.
Help us put one foot in front of the other and continue moving forward. And most of all, help us recognize the blessings that are already around us.
Amen.
A Little Reminder for the Week
“One foot in front of the other. God knows what you need before you do.” I want to carry that reminder with me this week. When something goes wrong, I’ll take another step. When I’m frustrated, I’ll pray.
When I don’t know what to do, I’ll ask God for direction. And when something good happens, I’ll stop long enough to say thank You. Because sometimes we’re so busy looking for the next blessing that we forget to appreciate the ones we already have.
Take a Few Minutes for Gratitude
Before Monday gets busy, take a few minutes today to think about what you’re thankful for. Write down one thing you’re grateful for. Write down one person you’re praying for. Write down something you’re trusting God with. And write down one thing you’re asking Him to help you with this week.
I’ve created a simple New Week Prayer & Gratitude Printable for you to use. You can print it and keep it beside your coffee cup, on your desk, on the refrigerator, or wherever you will see it throughout the week.
You can also let your children or grandchildren fill one out. Sometimes a simple reminder in front of us can help us slow down, pray, and remember what really matters.

As we begin another week here at GreatfulMoments.com, I also want to remind you that we’re looking for new people and new stories to share. We would like to invite you to come and join us.
If you have a business that needs to be seen? Have you written a book? Have an event coming up? Have a product, service, organization, or opportunity you’d like to tell our readers about?
Or maybe you simply have a story you want to share. Come pull up a chair and share it with us. We’re looking for new people to feature on the site, and we’d love to hear what you’re doing. You never know who might need to hear your story or discover your business.
Here’s to a New Week
Whatever last week looked like, let’s leave it there. Today is a new beginning. I hope this week is everything you hope for and so much more. I hope you find unexpected blessings. I hope you receive good news. I hope you discover new opportunities. I hope you find reasons to smile.
And when things don’t go according to plan, I hope you remember that one difficult moment doesn’t mean the entire week—or the entire story—is lost. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep moving forward.
Put one foot in front of the other. And remember that the Lord knows our needs before we do. If there’s anything I can help you with, please let me know.
And if you have a prayer request, a business, an opportunity, or simply a story you want to tell, come share it with us. Most importantly, remember to always be Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed for the things the Lord gives us.
Have a beautiful Sunday and a wonderful new week. I’ll see you soon.
