A New Month, A New Swagbucks Goal: 100 Points a Day and 700 a Week!

We made it through October and I am so happy to say I made my points most of the days and when I feel short I was able to pick up the points the next day with the LORDs help. For that I am grateful, thankful and blessed. I still don’t know if I will actually get the #300 gift card I am working for but there is no, stopping me now.

I would like to welcome you to a new month November and to stay goodbye to October! October was hard at times but we go through it and that is what matters. I am excited to have a new month which means another opportunity to work toward our Swagbucks goal, celebrate what we’ve earned, and see how much closer we can get to those gift cards.

If you’ve been following along, you know we’re working toward earning 30,900 SB points by December 15. Let me tell you this goal isn’t for the faint of heart but I’m not going to stop now. If you haven’t been following my journey my goal is to redeem enough points for $300 in gift cards to use for David’s Christmas present and for Charlie’s Christmas and Birthday present. Yes, you heard me right Birthday and Christmas because Charlie turns 18 on December 16th. Isn’t that crazy?

I’m not going to pretend that earning points is always easy. Some days I reach my goal, some days I don’t, and some days I surprise ourselves by earning more than we expected. That’s okay because no, matter what happens I’m going to keep going, one day at a time. Just like the little Engine who thought he could.

Now let’s discuss last week when I started our Swagbucks challenge on October 26 with 25,454 SB. We wanted to see if we could reach 26,000 points in six days. We didn’t just reach that goal. We passed it! Through the LORDs help and Charlie and David reminding me I could and not to give up.

Here’s how I did:

DayPoints Earned
Monday, October 26256
Tuesday, October 27155
Wednesday, October 28176
Thursday, October 29157
Friday, October 30206
Saturday, October 31200
Total Earned1,150 SB

I finished October with 26,604 SB! That’s 1,150 points earned in six days. I would say that’s a pretty good end to October. The nice part was seeing I went over my goal of 100 points each day. That was a Godwink. Will I do that this week only the LORDs knows but what I do know is I’m going to try to.

For November, we’re keeping things simple. Our goal is to earn 100 SB every day, which gives us a weekly goal of 700 SB. Why 100? Because it’s easy to remember, gives us something to work toward, and provides a little cushion for the days when we don’t earn as much.

Some days we make it. Some days we don’t. We aren’t going to beat ourselves up over it. We’ll just keep trying. Plus, to reach our goal we only need 83 points a day but if we go over that it means we would need less points the next week and the closer we get to the #Holidays the busier we will get.

I want to make it as easy as possible for me to reach my goal and to try and get the points down between 50 and 75 by Thanksgiving but that doesn’t mean I will not still try for a 100 daily it just means I would have a cushion to work with which we all need..

Here’s where we’re starting:

  • Starting balance: 26,604 SB
  • Daily goal: 100 SB
  • Weekly goal: 700 SB
  • First weekly target balance: 27,304 SB

If we reach our 700-point goal this week, we’ll be just 696 points away from our next milestone of 28,000 SB. Then we would need 2900 points. Holi Moly that’s a whole lot of points but I know the LORD knows our needs and he can help me reach my goal and if I don’t reach it then I know that wasn’t the LORDs will.

Our bigger goal is to reach 30,900 SB by December 15, so we can redeem our points for $300 in gift cards.

Here’s our starting November balance:

Our ProgressPoints
Current balance26,604 SB
December goal30,900 SB
Points still needed4,296 SB

We have 45 days from November 1 through December 15. Technically, we’d need to average about 96 SB a day to reach our goal. But we’re keeping our goal at 100 SB a day! If we earn 100 points every day for those 45 days, we could earn another 4,500 SB and finish with 31,104 SB.

That would put us 204 points above our goal. I like having that little cushion because we all know that life happens. There will be days when surveys aren’t available, we’re busy with family, or we simply don’t earn as many points as we hoped. Plus, if we go over our goal we will have a cushion to begin next year with because I would like to earn $400 next year.

Now there is one thing I want people to understand is that Swagbucks isn’t just about taking surveys. Surveys are one way to earn points, but there are other opportunities, too. Depending on what’s available in your account, you may be able to earn through:

  • Discover offers and special promotions
  • Shopping through Swagbucks when you already planned to make a purchase
  • Daily activities and available bonuses
  • Games and other featured earning opportunities
  • Surveys when they’re available and a good fit
  • Daily Task
  • Grocery Store Receipts

Offers change, and not every opportunity is right for everyone. Always read the details before participating. I wouldn’t recommend spending money just to earn points unless it’s something you already planned to buy and the offer makes sense. If you’re looking for a way to earn a little extra on the side, Swagbucks may be worth checking out. It’s not a get-rich-quick plan, and it takes time, but those little points can add up.

If you’d like to give Swagbucks a try, you can sign up using my referral link: I will earn points for anyone who joins through my link and for my family that would be a Godsend if you join and help me reach my goal sooner. Than you and I’d love to have you join us and see what you can earn!

We’re starting November with 26,604 SB. Our daily goal is 100 points, and our weekly goal is 700. We’re not raising that goal just because the math says we could earn more. We’re keeping it simple and manageable. Sometimes we make our goal, sometimes we don’t, but we’ll keep working toward it. We’ll celebrate the milestones, enjoy the little victories, and keep our eyes on December 15.

One day at a time, one point at a time, and one reason at a time to be grateful. Here’s to a new month, a fresh goal, and making those Swagbucks add up!

Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed.
