I was cleaning off my desk this morning and I’ve always enjoyed looking through cookbooks. Especially when they’ve been written by people I admire and have stories the writer shares with us.
I believe Sherry gave Charlie this cookbook because he enjoys cooking. But being written by Paula Deen I couldn’t wait to look through the cookbook. The cookbook as I said is written by Paula Deen the cookbook is called Paula Deen Celebrates!: Best Dishes and Best Wishes for the Best Times of Your Life I snagged this cookbook for myself because I admire how Paula Deen and her sons got started in there business.
I’ve always admired Paula Deen and she used to own a restaurant I would have liked to visit but I believe it has closed. That is okay because with this cookbook I will be able to cook some of the recipes she makes. Have you seen this cookbook? Do you follow Paula Deen and do you use her recipes when cooking for your family?
I wish you could see the front of the cookbook and al the dishes is showcasing but more than that look at her in her pretty orange blouse that reminds me of the Sun. I also love the purple flowers she has out on the cabinets.

The cookbook begins with New Year’s Eve brunch which will be here in the blink of an eye. Then there is a section celebrating Elvis Birthday and inside it is Country Fried Steak which I can’t wait to make for dinner. Along with Old Fashioned Banana Pudding.
Then we move into Valentines Day. Then we can celebrate Presidents Day. If you like Mardi Gras then you should check out that chapter.
That is just a sampling of the things you will find inside the cookbook. I can’t wait to tell David there is a recipe for Humming Bird Cake which is mine and David’s all–time favorite cake. I can’t wait to make this for David and I. As well as a new desert for my sister and brother to try.
I love how each recipe she shares information comes with information and stories. If Charlie had been #Homeschooling still this would have been a fun cookbook to use in our Cooking Class.
