Valentines Day Snacks for Children

This is a guest post from Lisa Richards who is sharing Valentines Day Snacks for children. Charlie and I will be making these treats to serve at our Valentines Day Party.

“Valentines Day snacks” for your children do not have to be loaded with sugar, refined carbs, and other inflammatory ingredients to be fun and tasty. Taking in too much sugar can lead to irritability, more sugar cravings, and a crash for your children.

Give your kids, and their class, a healthy alternative on a holiday that is already packed with unhealthy foods and sweets. My Coconut & Almond No-Bake Balls are delicious, nutrient-dense, and sugar-free. They are also easy for most children to prepare and you don’t have to worry about them turning on the stove.

Another fun, nutrient-packed snack for your kids this Valentines Day can be created with granola, peanut butter, strawberries, and a Popsicle stick. Simply cut the ends off the strawberries and place them on the Popsicle stick, dip the strawberries in peanut butter (or any nut butter of your preference), and dip that end in granola. The kids can easily be involved in this treat and it is low in sugar.”
