Playing Outside
Yesterday Charlie surprised me when he went and prepared a Picnic lunch for us to take to the park. While there I was able to walk around and watch Charlie ride his skateboard.
Then Charlie and I went down the slides together and we took turns pushing each other on the Swings. On the way home we looked for rocks we could add to Charlies rock collection.
Once we got home Charlie went inside and brought out his chalk and the stencils his grandmother had gotten him and we spent a couple hours drawing pictures and telling stories we made up.
This was the perfect way to spend a day leading up to Meet the Teacher tonight. It’s so hard to believe school is starting on Monday and I will have a 6th grader. Where did the years go?
