Little GESTURES show you when someone LOVES you

Charlie picks flowers for me on a daily basis then the other day I let Charlie know I appreciated the flowers. As Charlie and I were talking I let Charlie know no, one else had ever brought me flowers. Including David not, that I wanted to make David feel bad. I just wanted to show Charlie how much the flowers meant to me.

When David heard me tell Charlie this. David say I have bought you flowers. I looked at David and I said no, you haven’t ever brought me flowers. Although you do other things for me to show me you love me and I appreciate all you do for Charlie and I. We are blessed to have you in our lives.

I surprised David when I let him know I didn’t think he would ever purchase flowers for me. Although the other day I was working when David came in and handed me a Rose to surprise me with which he stopped on the way home to purchase for me. The niece part was David even made sure it was my favorite color.

That rose reminded me why I feel in love with David in high school when the Dinosaurs walked on Earth as Charlie would say. Although our falling in love wasn’t that long ago. I was 16 and David was 15. I would like to let you know little GESTURES like this rose show you when someone LOVES you.

I was sitting in a restaurant across from our High School after a Football Game and the guy I thought was my boyfriend walks in with another girl. Ed walks right up and introduces her to me as his girlfriend. Even though at school Ed would introduce me as his girlfriend. What a fool I was…

I was devastated and sitting in the booth crying when a guy I didn’t know walked in and reminded me not to cry over Ed. David let me know he knew Ed and that he wasn’t worth my tears. This guy I didn’t know let me know Ed does things like that all the time to get girls. I was better off without him David said. I knew David was trying to help but at the moment that wasn’t what I wanted to hear. I wanted Ed back because like any young girl I thought I was in love.

David left and I didn’t think I would ever see him again even though we went to the same High School. What I didn’t know was God had different plans for us. I was in the School office one morning when David and his friend Tony who was my best friend Tony to walked into the office.  David asked Tony to ask me if I would go to Homecoming with David.

I still was waiting for Ed to come back but I said I guess I could. Low and behold after that first date with David I forgot Ed. I feel totally head over heels in LOVE with David. We were together for two years until life pulled us apart. I felt like I was going to die without David. There was never a guy who was as good to me as David was.

There still isn’t and I can never thank the Lord enough for bringing David back into my life. I am blessed to be married to David and have a son together. David treats Charlie and I like we are the best thing ever. David goes above and beyond to be the perfect husband and knows my needs before I do. All he has to do is walk into the room and a bad day goes away.

Just like last night when I was working David walks in and ask if I would like to go to Roanoke Days. I let David know I had forgotten about this event but it would be fun. As I was getting dressed I let David know I would need to charge my phone and to get dressed. Before I could move from the computer David handed me a Gift.

No, it wasn’t a ROSE.. All it was was a Power Bank for my phone although this small Gift reminded me again how much David loves me and how much he supports my job. David knew I would want to take pictures to share on the blog and the phone would need to be charged and David was right. All I can say is I am Blessed to have such kind caring men in my life.

Thank you, Jesus!
