Duck On A Disco Ball reminds me of Charlie in a lot of ways because when Charlie was little he didn’t want to go to bed. Although if truth be none I am sure I was the same was as a child. I have a question for you were you one that didn’t want to go to bed? Did you wonder what everyone was doing when you was in bed? Or did you stay up and try to hear what the grownups was doing?

I will share one thing both Charlie and I saw inside Duck On A Disco Ball we would like to try and that is the parents were flying and Charlie is wondering the next time they go flying somewhere if they would be kind enough to take them with them…

In Jeff Mack’s latest picture book, a boy wants to stay up late, but his parents won’t let him. Yet sometimes in the morning, he notices things look a little off—like when he sees a disco ball in the kitchen…with his toy duck on it. So one night he decides to stay up. And that’s when the fun really begins.

About Jeff Mack

Jeff Mack is the creator of picture books and early graphic novel readers including Hush Little Polar Bear and the Hippo and Rabbit series. He has also illustrated award winning picture books and chapter books such as Eve Bunting’s Hurry! Hurry! and James Howe’s Bunnicula and Friends.

Originally from Syracuse, NY, Mack grew up fascinated by monsters and robots. He built his own pinball machines from cardboard boxes, and created comic books about his four siblings being devoured by monsters.

In 1995 he began painting murals for restaurants, hospitals, and libraries. Five years later, he was writing and illustrating children’s books in an ever-increasing range of styles.
