Goals and Blogging never go hand in hand!!

Now, I have a question for you do you agree with the statement above and if so why or why not?
In December I took the entire month off to be ready to come back in January and Blogging full time. I had all kinds of goals and resolutions I set up for myself. What I did not take into account was God and the plans he had for me or my family. So one thing I have learned this year is Goals and Blogging never go hand in hand!! As I set up the Goals and worked on the things I planned to do in the New Year. I never dreamed I would spend almost 4 weeks sick in bed with a bad cough and a virus I caught. Which sent all of my well-laid plans out the door.
Once I was better I decided to move ahead with my plans and I started to get everything in line then low and behold I ended up with the flu and was out almost another 2 weeks. So you may ask why I am sharing all of this with you and what it has to do with you or even the blog. It is because I wanted to let you know that your blog will survive if you take some time off.
Before you go and start to build all these plans and Goals sit down and Pray and ask God for Guidance because as I have been sick I see where I was wrong and why I was not able to accomplish all I had planned on having done by now. You see I was letting Blogging come before everything in my life including my family. Because I was always telling David and Charlie I have to work on my blog. Did this leave time for my family and the things I wanted to do with Charlie and David? No, it didn’t and it wasn’t fair to them or even myself.
All I can say is that even though I hated being sick I am so glad I was as it has given me time to look at things from another perspective and to put my life, my blog and everything else into Gods hands and to learn not to stress. If something doesn’t get done today it will be OK as there is always tomorrow. Although one of us might not be as I learned through the death of Suzzane.
All I can ask is for Prayers and understanding as I work hard to rebuild and get our lives back on track. We are working on our house which we didn’t have time to do. Plus I am taking more time to be Charlie’s mom. As well as applying for a job with the Chamber which I know it will help us out in so many ways. As well as allow me to make friends which I don’t have at the moment.
Today as you leave me comments on my blog Please think about what I have said and leave me ways to rebuild without sacrificing my family and the time I have with them. As our children grow up to fast and I want to make sure I have time to be Charlie’s mom and David’s wife. As well as set time aside for our pets and to take them outside and walking as they are just like our children and need to be pampered.
I am trying so hard not to worry about Stats and page rank which has gone downhill not only from being sick but because I had to move the blog. Ass you can see from looking around there is still a lot I need to do so Please leave me suggestions as I would like to get back to hosting reviews and giveaways but I keep getting turned down from the companies I apply to. Also, I would like to finally make some money from Blogging and I am not sure where to begin or what sites to use so any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and have a Blessed week.
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
