AMC FearFest 2026: October 16–31 — More Halloween Movies, Horror Marathons, and Frightful Favorites!

Are you ready for more Halloween movies? Because AMC FearFest isn’t slowing down just yet! We have made it through the first half of October, and now we’re heading into the second half with even more movie marathons, familiar horror franchises, supernatural stories, and Halloween favorites.

If you joined me for our first AMC FearFest post covering October 1–15, welcome back! If you missed it, don’t worry. You can catch up and then come back here for the rest of the month.

Now, I need to be honest with you. Horror movies and I don’t always get along. I don’t need to be checking behind every door, peeking around every corner, or wondering if something is hiding under the bed after the credits roll! But I do love seeing what is on television, discovering movies I may have missed, and finding something David and Charlie might enjoy watching.

So grab your calendar, check the times, and let’s see what AMC has planned for October 16 through Halloween. All times below are listed as AMC publishes them, in Eastern Time (ET). Check AMC’s current listings before watching, since television schedules can change.

Friday, October 16 — Jason vs. Everyone Marathon– Friday gets started with a full day of Jason Voorhees and the Friday the 13th franchise. If you are a fan of Camp Crystal Lake, this is your day!

10:00 AM — Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday– Jason returns in a story involving a mysterious investigation into his seemingly impossible ability to survive. This installment takes the franchise into supernatural territory.

12:00 PM — Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan– Jason follows a group of students on a trip to New York City. The familiar killer is no longer confined to the woods around Camp Crystal Lake.

2:00 PM — Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives– Tommy Jarvis returns to confront Jason, whose resurrection brings terror back to the area around Camp Crystal Lake.

4:00 PM — Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood– A young woman with telekinetic abilities becomes involved in another frightening encounter with Jason.

6:00 PM — Friday the 13th (1980)– The original film introduces Camp Crystal Lake, where counselors begin facing a series of deadly attacks while preparing the camp for visitors.

8:00 PM — Friday the 13th Part 2– A new group of young people faces danger near Camp Crystal Lake as the legend surrounding Jason grows.

10:00 PM — Friday the 13th Part III– Jason returns in another chapter of the slasher series, this time targeting a group spending time at a lakeside property. That’s a whole lot of Jason for one Friday! If you love this franchise, you won’t have to look far for another installment.

Saturday, October 17 — Final Destination Double Feature– Tonight’s lineup focuses on the Final Destination movies. These films play with the idea that surviving a disaster may not mean escaping your fate.

7:00 PM — Final Destination (2000)– A teenager has a disturbing premonition of a plane disaster and manages to get himself and several others off the flight. But the survivors soon discover that escaping the initial tragedy may not mean they are safe.

9:00 PM — Final Destination 2– Another premonition saves a group of people from a deadly highway accident. The survivors then find themselves confronting a series of frightening events. If you enjoy suspense built around unexpected twists, this double feature may be for you. I’ll leave the lights on, thank you very much!

Sunday, October 18 — Freddy vs. Jason Marathon– Sunday brings two famous horror franchises together, with Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street leading into the crossover movie.

6:15 AM — Friday the 13th Part III– Jason returns to terrorize another group of young people. This entry continues the series’ familiar combination of isolated settings and slasher suspense.

8:15 AM — Friday the 13th (1980)– The original Camp Crystal Lake story returns to the schedule, giving viewers another chance to revisit the movie that started the franchise.

10:15 AM — Friday the 13th Part 2– Jason’s story continues as another group encounters danger near the infamous camp.

12:15 PM — A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors– Teenagers at a psychiatric hospital discover that their nightmares may connect them to Freddy Krueger, the terrifying figure who attacks people in their dreams.

2:30 PM — A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge– A teenager moves into a house connected to Freddy’s history and begins experiencing frightening events that blur the line between dreams and reality.

4:30 PM — A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)– The original movie introduces Freddy Krueger, a supernatural killer who stalks teenagers through their dreams.

6:45 PM — Freddy vs. Jason– Two horror icons finally face off. Freddy manipulates events to bring Jason into the picture, hoping the chaos will help restore his own power.

9:00 PM — The Terror: Devil in Silver, Episode 105– The supernatural series continues with Pepper’s disturbing experiences at New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, where the people and forces surrounding him may be more dangerous than they first appear.

This is definitely a day for horror fans who enjoy these classic franchises. I may be looking for the remote and something a little more cheerful!

Monday, October 19 — A Little Bit of Everything

Monday switches things up with a mix of action, creature-feature fun, and supernatural horror.

5:00 PM — From Dusk Till Dawn– Two criminal brothers take hostages while trying to escape across the border. Their plans take a bizarre turn when they arrive at a remote establishment hiding a dangerous secret.

9:00 PM — Jeepers Creepers– A brother and sister traveling through a rural area encounter a frightening creature with a disturbing pattern of hunting its victims.

10pm– Tremors has that creature-feature setup that might appeal to someone who enjoys monsters without needing a complicated backstory. The other two? I’ll let you decide whether they’re on your watch list!

Tuesday, October 20 — Back to Jason and Michael Myers– Tuesday brings another round of familiar franchise names, including the 2009 Friday the 13th and two Halloween films.

6:00 PM — Friday the 13th (2009)– A group of young people encounters danger while visiting the area around Camp Crystal Lake. This reboot reintroduces Jason to a new generation of viewers.

8:00 PM — Halloween (2007)– Director Rob Zombie presents a new take on Michael Myers, following his troubled history and his return to Haddonfield.

10:30 PM — Halloween II (2009)– The story continues after the events of the 2007 Halloween, following Laurie Strode as she deals with the aftermath of Michael Myers’ attack. Michael Myers and Jason in one evening? AMC certainly knows how to keep horror fans busy!

Wednesday, October 21 — Insidious Marathon– Tonight is all about the Insidious franchise, with three films scheduled back-to-back.

7:00 PM — Insidious– A family begins experiencing disturbing supernatural events after their young son falls into an unexplained coma. They seek help when it becomes clear that the problem may not be limited to their home.

9:30 PM — Insidious: Chapter 2– The Lambert family continues to face frightening supernatural mysteries as they try to understand the events surrounding their experiences.

12:00 AM — Insidious: Chapter 3– Set before the first two films, this installment follows a teenager whose connection to the supernatural draws the attention of a dangerous presence.

If supernatural horror is your favorite kind of scary, this marathon gives you a chance to follow the stories in one evening. If you’re like me and prefer not to wonder what is lurking in the dark, you might want a different movie night!

Thursday, October 22 — Creatures, Crocodiles, and a Little Wrestling– Thursday mixes creature features with wrestling and a return to Final Destination.

11:00 PM — Final Destination (2000)– The original story returns, following survivors who begin to suspect that escaping a disaster has only delayed something much worse.

I like that AMC mixes up the schedule instead of giving us nothing but one type of movie every single night.

Friday, October 23 — Stephen King Stories– Friday’s lineup includes stories connected with Stephen King, bringing together a frightening prom-night tale, a terrifying clown, and a werewolf story.

5:45 PM — Carrie– Carrie White is a shy teenager who faces cruelty at school and a difficult home life. After a cruel prank at prom, her powerful telekinetic abilities unleash devastating consequences.

8:00 PM — It (2017)– A group of children in Derry, Maine, confronts an evil presence that often appears as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. The friends must work together as they try to understand and survive the horror.

11:00 PM — Silver Bullet– In a small town, a series of brutal attacks leads a young boy and his family to suspect that a werewolf may be responsible.

These are three very different stories, but they all have that unsettling feeling that something isn’t right. If you are watching, keep your favorite snacks close!

8:00 PM — A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)– Freddy Krueger haunts teenagers through their dreams, making sleep itself a frightening prospect.

10:15 PM — Friday the 13th (1980)– The original slasher movie returns to Camp Crystal Lake for another showing.

12:15 AM — Halloween III: Season of the Witch– A doctor investigates a sinister plan involving a company selling Halloween masks. Unlike the Michael Myers entries, this installment follows a separate story within the Halloween franchise.

What a Saturday! There is a lot of movie history packed into this lineup. Some of these films are beloved classics for horror fans, while others may be new discoveries for viewers who haven’t explored ’80s horror.

If Michael Myers is your Halloween tradition, AMC has certainly made room for him! And if you prefer a different kind of Halloween celebration, you can always pick your favorite movie, make some popcorn, and enjoy the evening your own way. That’s a wrap on AMC FearFest’s October Schedule!

From Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger to Stephen King adaptations, creature features, Final Destination, and the many faces of Michael Myers, AMC has packed the second half of October with movies for horror fans. As for me, I’m happy to look through the schedule, learn a little about movies I may not have seen, and decide which ones belong on my family’s watch list.

Not every movie is going to be for everybody, and that’s perfectly fine. There are plenty of ways to enjoy Halloween without choosing the scariest thing on television! And remember, our AMC FearFest: Halloween Hangover post is coming separately for November 1, so we’re not quite finished with the movie fun yet.

Now tell me: Which AMC FearFest movie are you most excited to watch, and which one would you happily skip? Are you a Jason fan, a Freddy fan, a Michael Myers fan, or someone who would rather watch a funny Halloween movie with a bowl of popcorn? Leave me a comment and let me know. I love hearing what everyone else is watching!

Schedule source: AMC’s official FearFest 2026 schedule. Please check AMC for any schedule changes before viewing.
