Help Us Load Santa’s Sleigh! Meet Craftiloo and Discover Creative Gifts for the Holidays

Christmas will be here before we know it, and I’m already thinking about gifts that give families more than something to unwrap. I love finding presents that encourage creativity, bring people together, and give children something fun to do long after Christmas morning.

That’s why I’m introducing you to Craftiloo! Craftiloo is our latest addition to join our Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List. The company describes Craftiloo as a family-owned business that has been creating craft kits since 2017. My question is why didn’t I know about them when I was #Homeschooling Charlie because we could have used the kits in our Art Class and also for reading.

Its philosophy is simple: learning new skills can be fun, and crafting can help children develop confidence, patience, problem-solving skills, self-expression, and independence. As someone who believes some of life’s best moments happen when families spend time together, I can appreciate that idea.

I believe craft kits can give children a chance to make something with their own hands while giving parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members an opportunity to join in. And you don’t have to be an expert crafter to enjoy the experience! Which is a Godwink for me.

I’ve been exploring some of Craftiloo’s children’s kits, and three caught my attention as possibilities for holiday gift-giving and I was blessed, grateful and thankful when the company sent us all three kits to try out with my family. The had part is keeping them put up until Christmas when kids will be out for Thanksgiving and Christmas break and they will need something to do.

CRAFTILOO Latch Hook Rainbow Heart Pillow Kit– Allows us to make a colorful rainbow heart pillow. A cheerful project for a child who enjoys hands-on activities. The kit includes a color-coded canvas, precut yarn, a latch hook, stuffing, an instruction booklet, and access to a step-by-step video.

The estimated crafting time is four to six hours, making it a project a child can work on over several sessions. One detail worth checking before purchasing: the product listing and website show different age recommendations, so be sure to review the current guidance.

CRAFTILOO Barbie Sew Your Own Minibag Kit– If you children are a Barbie fan or you have one on your Christmas list? This Barbie kit includes six little bag projects, felt pieces and decorations, child-friendly sewing supplies, instructions, and video tutorials.

I immediately thought about my nieces, Daisy and Peyton. Daisy has recently gotten into Barbie, and I could picture her enjoying the projects with her older sister making the bags for her with the help of Granny Sherry. This is a gift that combines creativity with the opportunity to learn a new skill.

Crafty Lou Fairy Sewing Kit– For children who love fairies and whimsical designs, the Crafty Lou Fairy Sewing Kit offers five felt fairy projects.

The kit includes prepared felt pieces, embroidery floss, needles, threaders, stuffing, glue, instructions, and a QR code for a video tutorial. The different fairy designs each have their own personality. Looking at them even brought some family memories to mind, including thoughts of my daughter Suzzane and the things she might have loved. I can imagine this being a sweet Christmas activity for family members to work on together.

Here’s something else I discovered while exploring the craft kits: Craftiloo also offers projects for older crafters and adults. That means you don’t have to buy a kit for a child and then spend the afternoon watching from the sidelines. You can choose a project for yourself and enjoy crafting alongside them.

Whether you enjoy embroidery, sewing, or other creative activities, there may be something worth exploring. I especially like this idea for families who want to spend less time looking at screens and more time doing something together. You might be surprised by how much fun everyone has when the whole family joins in.

When I think about Christmas gifts, I always come back to the memories we make with the people we love. A craft kit can be more than a box of supplies. It can be an afternoon spent with a grandchild, a project shared between sisters, or a chance for a parent and child to learn something new together.

You might end up with a slightly crooked stitch or a project that doesn’t look exactly like the picture. That’s okay! The laughter and time spent together are part of the gift. So as we start thinking about filling Santa’s sleigh, let’s remember the gifts that encourage imagination, creativity, and family time.

Have you ever given a craft kit as a Christmas gift? Do you enjoy crafting with the children in your family, or would you like to start a new tradition this year? Share your ideas with us! Visit Craftiloo’s website to explore its current collection of children’s and adult craft kits and find a project that might be right for your family.

Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.
