I have a couple stuffed animals that was Suzzane’s including Monkey Sue and Squealer but I also have Fantasia a mini pink Unicorn that is all mine. I wanted to share my thoughts about her with you because sometimes a product review is about much more than the product. Sometimes you see something sitting on a shelf and immediately know you need to bring it home. And sometimes, after you get it home, you realize there is a much bigger reason you chose it.
That’s exactly what happened with Fantasia. Fantasia is one of the little Ty Puffies from the Ty collection, and she is the sweetest little pink unicorn. She’s fluffy and tiny, with big black eyes surrounded by brown, a little pink nose, and a gold horn right in the middle of her head. She also has a darker pink mohawk made from a different material, which gives her a little personality all her own. Her ears have gold glitter, and so do her little feet and hands. She is tiny enough to sit right on my desk without taking up much room.
And that’s exactly where she lives. Her name is Fantasia, and her birthday is May 8. That is what made me choose her. May 8 is Suzanne’s birthday. I used to collect unicorns when Suzanne was little. I also collected Pegasus, and for a long time I had a whole collection of them. I don’t have that collection anymore, and honestly, I wish I did.
Maybe that’s part of why Fantasia caught my attention. She’s a unicorn, which immediately brought back those memories of Suzanne when she was little. But when I saw that Fantasia’s birthday was May 8, I knew she was coming home with me. Now she sits on my desk where I can see her every day.
She’s just a tiny stuffed unicorn, but every time I look at her, I think about Suzanne. I know if my niece Lily saw her she would want her because like me she loves Unicorns. That’s one of the things I love about little things like this. You don’t always buy something because you need it. Sometimes you buy it because it makes you feel something.
Fantasia makes me smile. She reminds me of the little girl who loved unicorns. She reminds me of collecting unicorns and Pegasus when Suzanne was growing up. And she gives me something small to look at during the day that connects me to her. Which brings her closer on the day’s I’m struggling.
Fantasia is also 100% Ty, which is part of what drew me to her. Suzzane used to collect Ty Beenie Babies. The Ty Puffies collection has lots of cute little characters, but for me, this particular little pink unicorn was the one that mattered. And I’m pretty sure Suzanne would have loved her. Actually, I know what would have happened if she were here. She would have snagged her.
That’s what makes me smile when I think about it. I can almost picture Suzanne seeing Fantasia sitting on my desk and deciding that little unicorn really belonged to her instead. So yes, this is technically a product review. But it’s also a little family memory. It’s a reminder that sometimes something as small as a stuffed unicorn can carry a whole lot of meaning.
Fantasia may be tiny, but she has a special place on my desk and in my heart. And every time I look over and see that little pink face, those gold glitter ears, that sparkly horn, and her tiny little feet, I get to remember a little girl who loved unicorns. Sometimes the best things we bring into our homes aren’t the biggest things. Sometimes they’re the little things that remind us of someone we love.
Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed
Thank you,
