Dollar Tree Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List: Teen Gift Guide Blessing Basket Ideas

One of the things I love about the Christmas Season is seeing families come together to prepare for the #Holidays.. But I also know that preparing for Christmas can look different for every family. Some families are shopping for new gifts and supplies, while others are trying to make sure they can cover the basics.

That is why I love the idea of a Christmas Gift Guide/ Wish List/ Teen Guide: Blessing Baskets. The best part is that you do not have to spend a lot of money to make a difference. A simple trip to Dollar Tree can provide many of the items needed to create a thoughtful basket that reminds a teen that their family cares. A blessing basket is not about how much money you spend.

It is about the message behind it:

“You matter.”
“You are cared for.”
“You are ready for anything that comes up

Ideas for a Teen Girls Blessing Basket

A basket for a girl could include:

  • toothbrush and toothpaste
  • deodorant
  • body wash
  • lotion
  • lip balm
  • hair ties or accessories
  • a brush or comb
  • feminine care products when appropriate
  • notebooks and pens
  • a small encouraging note

One of my favorite parts of creating a blessing basket is adding something that shows you thought about the person receiving it. which allows you to personalize the basket.

That could be:

  • purchasing products in their favorite color
  • a favorite snack
  • a fun notebook
  • a small hobby item
  • an encouraging message

The goal is not perfection. The goal is kindness.

When making the basket for the girls in your life make a extra basket or two to Dontate.

  • school resource rooms
  • school nurses or counselors
  • churches
  • food banks
  • blessing boxes
  • community outreach programs
  • family resource centers

Since every organization has different needs, always reach out first to see what items they accept.

Sometimes we forget how important everyday items can be. A teen may have make-up but still need personal care items. A family may be working hard but struggling to cover every expense. A simple basket can help remove one more worry. That is what makes this idea so special.

It is not about giving someone something because they are different. It is about showing them they are valued. As we prepare for Christmas, I hope we remember that kindness can be part of our Gift Guides this year. Because sometimes the smallest baskets carry the biggest blessings for someone struggling.
