The Mommies Reviews

RIP Ozzie Osbourne & Malcom Jamal Warner

David and I feel like the rug has been yanked out from under our feet this week. As 2 people we’ve loved and admired has passed away. David might have listened to Ozzy more than I did but I can sing and recognize his songs just like everyone else.

Charlie may only be 17 but he has listened to Ozzie since he was a toddler with his dad and was devasted to learn of Ozzie’s passing. Before that though I had to let Charlie and David know Malcom Jamal Warner had drowned.

I have a question for you who hasn’t heard of Bill Cosby and the Cosby Show and watched it at least once? Charlie has seen ever episode with me more than one time and can name all the characters with his eyes closed.

Just like Will Smith in Fresh Prince of Bellaire when Charlie was growing up The Cosby Show was a staple in our home. I loved Rudy and Theo and Charlie’s was Theo and Cockroaches biggest fans. I loved when the dad made Theo pay rent and I need to do that with Charlie.

Most people remember the shirt Denise made for Theo but do you remember all the ladies he loved? Come share your favorite episode of the Cosby show with us or your favorite memory of Ozzy or a song Ozzy and Black Sabbith sang you loved. Don’t forget about the Bat Ozzy bite the head off of.

Lets pray for both families as they face life without there loved ones. Especially Sharon Osbourne.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
